"Why is Tanaka treating Hinata that way?" Sugawara asked Asahi and Nishinoya, both males turned to see Tanaka gifting Hinata some snacks.
Nishinoya crossed his arms with a proud look, "Hinata got L/n's number for Tanaka, now Tanaka has a real date with him." Nishinoya wiped a fake tear, mumbling someone along the lines of 'they grow up so fast'.
"A date? Wow. I'm a little surprised."
Tanaka felt very good today, this practice was going to go by smoothly and then he can go on his date, yeah, sounds good.

The sound of a volleyball hitting the floor resonated throughout the Shiratorizawa gym. The volleyball members would definitely not have wanted to be on the other side of that net with Y/n spiking those.
"You ask him!"
"No, you!"
"You're closer to him!"
"W-well—Ushijima senpai!" Goshiki waved over, the male reluctantly walked over the group of people, "can you talk to Y/n and see what's wrong?"
Ushijima furrowed his brows, glancing at Y/n who was angrily spiking volleyballs left and right, the sound making everyone flinch—minus Ushijima—each time.
"Nothing seems to be wrong. He is practicing, like he should."
Shirabu rolled his eyes, "when does he ever voluntarily practice?"
"Maybe he's finally decided it was time to get serious about practice."
"Ushijima, trust us, something is upsetting him!" Goshiki said with wide, pleading eyes.
"Y/n, come here."
Y/n held the volleyball he was about to spike and walked over the the group, "Yes?"
"What's upsetting you."
"Nothing." Y/n said.
Ushijima pointed at him, "see, like i said—"
"I just think it's funny that—"
Oh shit, here he goes.
"Tanaka was all, let's go on a date, it'll be so much fun, but then doesn't even show up! I was left standing there like an idiot! Like give me a head up you're not going to show up!" Y/n was upset, he would've been totally fine if Tanaka had let him know he couldn't make their date.
He even posted a picture on his Snapchat captioned, 'first date kinda nervous 🤪🙈' and now he looks and feels like an idiot.
"Why would someone stand me up, me! Doesn't that just seem weird?!"
"Y-y/n.."
"What?!" He snapped, glaring at Goshiki, who pointed down at his hands, where the volleyball was now popped. "I'm going to crush Tanaka for standing me up!" He exclaimed, throwing the now flattened volleyball at Tendou and running to do more spikes.
