The father laughed. "You're both fags? Together? No. My sons are not going to be fucking each other. You have five minutes to leave right now."
"But, we don't have anywhere to go." Vic said quickly. Their father ignore him and left the room.
"Mike, where are we gonna go? I-I'm so scared."
"Listen, don't be scared. We'll be okay as long as we have each other." Mike whispered and kissed his brothers lips soothingly.
"Come on, we gotta go." Mike whispered and took his brothers hand. They both climbed out the window. Mike was first to jump off the roof, Vic following behind him.
"W-what now?" Vic asked.
"Now we run." Mike whispered before taking Vic's hand.

"It's cold." Vic whined. Mike picked him up and pulled him into his lap, wrapping his arms around him.
"Mike, we can't j-just live out here on the street." Vic stuttered as he shivered.
"Hey... I just remembered something. Remember when mom left? She left us both money for college. It's in dads room, in the closet, in a box." Mike said.
"And?"
"We need to sneak in there and get it." Mike whispered.
"What? N-no. We can't go back there!" Vic said quickly.
"I'll sneak in and get it, okay? Just stay here. Don't leave."
"Mike, don't leave. He might hurt you." Vic said, holding onto his little brothers arm.
"I'll be okay. Just wait here for me." Mike whispered in his ear and kissed his lips tenderly.
"Okay. Please be careful."
Mike nodded. "I will." He stood up from the ground and slowly made his way back to their house.
He knew his father was probably dangerous at the moment. He knew if his father saw him he'd be dead. But he had to do this for Vic.
"Maybe after I get the money we can buy a house and adopt kids." Mike whispered to himself and smiled.
Before he knew it he was back at the house. He went to the back, climbing onto the roof. He didn't know if his father was home or not. He snuck into the house, quietly sneaking into his fathers room. There he laid, on the bed, asleep.
Mike sighed nervously and slowly, ever so slowly, opened the closet door. He looked at his father to make sure he hadn't woken.
He reached up to the top shelf, feeling around until he felt a box. He sighed in relief and pulled it down. He opened it and nearly gasped at the money he found.
He didn't bother to shut the closet door. He quickly ran out of the house, this time using the front door.
He ran back to the spot he had left Vic, who was still sitting there, shivering. Once Vic saw Mike, he jumped up and wrapped his arms around him.
"I was so worried." Vic whispered.
Mike wrapped his arms around Vic's waist and spun him around. "I got it. And look." Mike opened the box.
"Whoa." Vic whispered as he gazed at the money.
"Now we're gonna be okay. Just me and you." Mike whispered. Vic smiled and took his brothers hand, lacing their fingers together.
