Forth
"Man, I need your help."
Raising my brows to Guild who called me, I answered, "What's up?"
It's almost time before lunch and he called randomly. He doesn't usually call me at all. We'd only go around texting for quite some short time but having him call me at this point in time when he basically has work in La Union, just justified how he really does need my help.
"Do me a favor. I'm paying you double once I get back," he began. "Go to Frankie's and buy bucket of wings. I'm sending you the details about the flavor and the address you're going to give it to."
My forehead creased at his request. Bucket of wings? Who's going to eat that?
"What's this about?"
"Just do it," he said. "If Kierra asked who is it from, just tell her nothing."
"Who's Kierra?"
Was this Kierra the same as the Kierra who chatted me to ask for Guild's number before?
He groaned impatiently. "My girl." He sighed deeply after, frustration all over his tone. "We... fought. Just do me a favor, can you? I just really need to make it up to her."
"How did you have time for girls when you were practically busy for work this summer?" I inquired curiously, though thinking that maybe, I have to ask him to pay me triple because his love life wouldn't work if it wasn't because of me. For the record, I was the one who forwarded his number. "You're not going out with anyone before the class ended. This should be a summer love."
"This wouldn't last for just a summer," he defended, clicking his tongue. "Help me. I'm paying for real, man. You can name your prize."
I somehow felt his frustration over the phone which made me storm outside to buy whatever it is that he wanted me to buy. I read through the details Guild sent and damn, the guy really is crazy over this.
He sent me an address I don't know about, together with a name, Kierra Fabiana. This must be his girl's address.
The only problem I was worried about is if she didn't accept it and if she sues me for possible food poisoning. I mean, who's sane enough to accept food from a random person? Not even me would do that.
I parked my car in front of a two-floored white house in a subdivision. I was unsure whether to just knock on the door or wait for someone to go out. I have my own dignity to shed protection for and this particular thing Guild signed me up for might put an end to it.
But luck's just in time.
I was waiting inside my Fusion when I noticed another sedan stopping just at the back of mine. I peeked through the rear-mirror until I noticed a woman, with long black hair playing around her waist and a rather pretty bare face, go out while holding the same buckets that I bought just earlier.
I wasted no second and bossed my way out of my car when I saw her walking towards Kierra Fabiana's house. I just feel sorry if the woman here would have to hold all these with her own hands.
"Hey," I called.
She turned around, almost jumping in shock at me calling her. She squinted a bit until she blinked for a realization I'm not sure about. She has black eyes and reddish plump lips. Her yellow sundress fitted her nicely. She looked natural and simple but it was attracting.
