Planning

Elsie took out a notebook and started planning. She had just packed an emergency backpack in case she needed to leave in a moment's notice. Amelia was out with another friend so she didn't have to explain herself.
'If the border will be monitored by magic I'll have to leave now, no time to explain to Amelia or the boys. But they might look for me, bad idea.' She thought of many ideas, but those that required her to leave without explaining face to face might arise suspicion. Those that she explained carefully would mean that the border is up.
'So I either wait to use my wish on leaving without detection or making the two guys forget me.' She flinched slightly, wasting a wish on something as trivia as that is just plain sad, but she was out of ideas. 'Looks like it's time to pull some Sherlock Holmes crap.'
Elsie did this before, leaving a false trail of running away when her friends wanted to keep contact, she needed to lose them. After all they will forget her soon enough. But never with magical creatures, who would probably chase after her till they got what they wanted or more.
So Elsie planned. Carefully planning what to tell her friends, which plane ticket to book in advance, when in reality she will take a long distance bus, cash can't be tracked.
'Hey Elsie what are you doing?' Amelia asked.
During Elsie's planing she totally forgotten about Amelia, 'I should explain to her first.' Elsie thought.
'Hey Amelia, can you just listen to me for now? Don't ask any questions until I finish please.' Amelia nodded.
Taking a deep breath, Elsie told a false story that she told many times before, 'this might be hard to believe but...'
To say that Amelia was shocked was an understatement but Elsie has seen the expression many times over the years. The look on Amelia's face now is like some kind of protocol.
'Wait, so you have to leave because your grandparents died? Where are you going? When are you coming back? I have so many questions.'
This is the second part of Elsie's Sherlock plan, and it worked flawlessly. If the shady guys found out Amelia is her best friend, they might expect her to know where Elsie will go.
'San Francisco. That's where they'll be buried, and I might not return.' That was a lie, Elsie's definitely not returning. 'I'll have to go live with my other aunt, so maybe I'll go to school there instead.'
Amelia was shocked. Her best friend of two years is leaving, to no less than a funeral. And never returning. 'I need some time, we'll talk later tonight.' Amelia said as she left the room.
Elsie felt slightly guilty, she never let herself get close to anyone. But Amelia with her fun yet caring attitude broke down more of her walls than anyone did the last couple hundred years. 'It's one of the few times in my lifetime that that happened, good for you Amelia. You will have great friends and a even better husband. 'Elsie thought, smiling lightly.
Elsie decided she needed a walk too, grabbing her jacket she went out. Her feet unconsciously leading her to the pond where the willow once stood.

(Elsie's POV)
The pond was quiet, too quiet.
I didn't know what came over me but suddenly I was digging, it wasn't random but some part of me wasn't sure if I wanted to find it, my past, my secret, a life forgotten.
My fingers struck something, I held my breath as I pulled the box out. Wrapped carefully in leaves was my past as Sunu. Back then I made a decision to bury my past, quite literally. I was determined to start a new life, not tainted by bad memories, my magic is the only constant reminder of my past.
I opened it, photographs didn't exist then, but for each item I held. I saw the memory as clear as day. A sharp syringe, to never again be used to inject magic into me. A bottle of sleeping pills, to never again drug me so I don't run away. A knife, still faintly buzzing with magic of the genie's blood, the blood which made me me. Many more which I all slowly took out remember their meaning, then put them back. I want to bury it again but this time I know I can't run from the past. So I took the box back to my dorm, and to my emergency backpack.
My phone buzzes, Amelia. We have to talk. Sure. Buzz again, the shady guys are threatening me, telling me to explain. No. Buzz again, the boys want to meet. Sure. Might as well tell them the story too. They are the next closest ones, tell them then skip town. Simple.
But I know it's not, I can lie to myself but I won't believe it. Life have never gotten this complex, I can only hope I can pull through this as whole as possible.

Hey everyone! Ok that took another dark turn. Sorry. Anyways I hope you enjoyed it!! Suggestions anytime! Thanks! See you soon!
