War is over

The world is now again at peace

The old lion survived its ordeal

The final defeat of the Axis powers marks the end of the Second World War. All over the world celebrate the victory that is so hard to achieve. From Western Hemisphere to Eastern Hemisphere. To the enemy foot soldier, it's a relief. From Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace. People are cheered, and grateful, and cannot contain their joy about the end of the war. Various Pubs full of soldiers, airmen, sailors, policemen, firefighters, and civilians drinking away their celebration with the royals and Prime minister join the party for the day they shall remember as Victory Day

As days pass by, people start to rebuild their homes. Most of the soldiers got assigned for their duty as occupation forces in Europe or demobilized. Veterans are happy to see their home and their family once again. As they try to adjust to their civilian life. Streets filled with the noise of construction, trucks full of bricks, and workers playing their construction instruments.

Many said that the British Empire is a survivor. Wave after wave of conflict came to its doorstep and steadily parried away.

They said the war is over. So, it's over

Right?
