Tips in Writing a Story

1. Every word of your story

            Never make any shortcuts for the words to be used in your story (e.g. “nvr”, “ur”). There is no limit in typing or writing so no need for shortcuts.

            Isa ito sa pinakamahalagang parte ng isang kwento. Kung magshoshortcut lang kayo, hindi lahat ng magbabasa ng storya mo ay makakaintindi kaya mas maayos kapag ang mga salita na sinusulat mo ay hindi “shortcut”

2. Title of the story

            Make sure your title gets the attention of the readers especially if it is about love. More like a unique title.

            Una sa lahat, kapag hindi unique ang iyong title marami ang magiging kaparehas nito pero sa paggawa ng title dapat may sense naman hindi yung unique nga hindi naman related sa storya, gets?

3. Plot of the story

            The plot of your story must be kind of unique to make the people be interested with your story.

            Kung ang storya mo ay hindi unique gawin mong unique sa paraan na gawin mong unexpected ang isang bagay or pangyayari sa kwento lalo na pag nasa “twist” ka na ng storya. Ito ay makakatulong sa isang magandang storya.

4. Way of writing the story

            Never use a dialogue type of writing. It is not a script for a movie but a story to be read.

            Ang pagsulat ng isang storya ay hindi gumagawa ng isang script dahil iyon ay pang palabas lamang. Tandaan, ang iyong ginagawa ay isang storya hindi palabas kaya dapat ang sinusulat mo ay hindi puro salita lamang ng characters. Less lines kumbaga.

5. Make your story detailed

            In making a story, make sure it would be detailed since the readers can’t see what is happening.

            Tulad ng sinabi ko sa tip#4, hindi palabas ang iyong ginagawa kundi storya kaya kailangan bawat gawain ng character mo ay nasasabi para alam ng mga nagbabasa ang lahat ng nangyayari sa kwento at mas lalo nilang maiintindihan ito.

6. Use your imagination

            Use your wide imagination in making the kind of story you wanted.

            Hinding hindi ka makakagawa ng isang storya kapag walang imagination. Ito ang nagbibigay ideya sa atin kung paano gawin ang storya.

7. Put yourself in your characters’ shoe.

You should try putting yourself on the shoes of your character to feel the flow of the story.

Isa ito sa mga mahalagang bagay sa paggawa ng isang storya. Dapat feel mo ang mga pangyayari o nangyayari sa mga characters mo para sa pagbasa ng mga tao dito ay feel din nila ang mga nangyayari. Ito ay makakatulong sa iyo na makakuha ng Maraming mangbabasa.

8. Try your best in making the story you can.

            If ever na makareceive ka ng mga criticisms, don’t let those critics stop you from writing stories. Take it as a challenge you have to face. Continue doing your story and improve them. Don’t be affected by them.

9. Don’t let others control you

            You are making your story not others. If they don’t want your story, just let them be. Don’t be affected. You are the writer of your story not them so why follow if you have your own plan for your story, right?

10. Don’t stress yourself

~+~+~+~

            Huwag na huwag maging stressed sa paggawa ng storya. Enjoy ka lang dahil gusto mong magsulat. Walang mararating ang pagiging stress. Magsulat ka lang ng gusto mong mangyari at konting edit lang…tapos.
