Jezebel sat back in her seat once she finished setting their coordinates for Naboo. She sighed and looked over at G9 as he powered down. Jezebel then looked back at the large window and watched the streaks of different blue shades pass as they traveled through hyperspace. She closed her eyes, listening to the soft humming of the ship, she suddenly opened her eyes. Jezebel was no longer sitting in The Red Tide. She was standing a few feet away from it in a large grass field.
¨G9.¨ Jezebel said as she looked around. She was in an empty grass field surrounded by mountains. Jezebel continued to call for G9. She realized she could not hear her voice. Jezebel stood there in the clearing. Then, she said, ¨No.¨ As she realized where she was.
She was on Alderaan. Once she realized this, a large bright green beam shot through the sky. A loud explosion came from the distance. ¨No.¨ Jezebel said again as she stared at the beam. She went running towards the area the explosion came from, but she began to run towards her ship. Jezebel looked towards her right as she ran and saw G9 standing in the grass.
¨Come on, droid!¨ She yelled as she stopped to open the hatch. G9 began to roll as fast as he could towards her. ¨Can't you use your thrusters?¨ He came closer as she yelled. There was a series of loud beeps, ¨Right; we did.¨ Jezebel answered. She looked towards the spot where the beam was, as she did, a strong gust of wind blew through the mountains.
Jezebel bent her knees so she would not get knocked over. There was a loud series of beeps; Jezebel looked over where G9 was and saw him fall over. Once the wind stopped, Jezebel opened one of the pouches on her left hip and pulled out a repulsorlift disk. She ran towards him, then attached the disk to a hook that was attached to the armor on her forearm. Jezebel threw the disk at G9; the disk attached to a grappling hook flew through the air.
The disk activated as it hit G9 and attached itself to him, he began to hover above the ground. Jezebel moved her forearm closer to her; as she did, G9 moved a bit closer. Another explosion came from the distance, followed by the ground shaking violently. Jezebel began to run back to the ship, pulling G9 behind her. G9 let out a loud series of beeps as they went into her ship.
She detached the grappling hook from her forearm and quickly tied it to a bar attached to the wall. ¨I trust that they got out.¨ Jezebel said as she went into the cockpit. Another series of beeps, ¨Yes, droid. He has never proved me wrong.¨ She said as she quickly started the ship. The ship began to hover above the ground. Jezebel pressed a series of buttons, and the ship began to fly into the atmosphere. There was another explosion, louder this time.
Jezebel bit her lip as doubt overcame her. ¨He did make it out, right?¨ She thought as they left the atmosphere. Jezebel started charting their path as a loud explosion rang. The ship began to shake violently as debris from something hit it. Jezebel began to type in a series of numbers; a faint blue hologram appeared on the console of the ship.
There was nothing visible in the hologram, but the sound of a guy's voice yelling, ¨Jez-they-keep-a ship-No!¨ then the hologram cut out. ¨Lial!¨ Jezebel yelled as she frantically pushed in the series of numbers. When the hologram would not return, she sat down in the pilot's seat and closed her eyes. A loud series of beeps came from behind her. She opened her eyes and noticed they were in hyperspace. Jezebel looked to her right and saw G9 sitting beside her. There was a series of low beeps. ¨Yeah. I'm alright, G9. I was just.¨ Jezebel sighed and looked back at the different blue shades as they continued through hyperspace.
¨Just remembering something.¨
