CHAPTER 6

Previously on chapter 5, Y/N finally met up with the guy from the coffee incident...

Matthew POV:

From behind, Matthew could hear a gentle yet tense "Hello", from Y/N.

Y/N POV:

Right when Y/N finally has the courage to say hello, immediately the guy turns around looking straight at her face. It took Y/N a couple of minutes to finally realize who was in front of her. Before she could decide on what to do next, in Y/N's head she already formed a thousand ways on how to handle this situation. She could either pretend that she doesn't know whose Matthew Gray Gubler is or she can totally freak out and start fangirling right now. But those two options didn't seem appropriate , so instead Y/N decided to sit down first then think after.

DIALOGUE:

Matthew: "Hello, I'm Matthew."

Y/N: uh-I'm Y/N, it's nice to finally meet you.

*at this point Matthew still contemplating on whether if Y/N actually know who he is*

Y/N POV:

Beside exchanging their names and greetings, there was a long pause of awkward moments between them. Y/N decided to initiate the conversation by offering Matthew a cup of coffee.

Y/N: "What would you like to drink, it's on me today to buy you a cup of coffee remember?"

Matthew: * letting out a little laugh*, " Hmm..Hot Americano would be fine."

Y/N: "Alrighty, just give me a second, I'm gonna go order it right now."

When Y/N finally left to head to the order counter, she couldn't help but pull out her phone to update the Open Sesame on what just happened! But before Y/N could've checked the response it was her turn to put in the order.

Y/N: " May I have a vanilla latte and a hot americano today?"

Yuan ( Common Barnies Barista): " When did you start drinking americano?"

Y/N: " It's not actually for me, I'm buying it for the guy over there, remember the guy I bumped into earlier this week?"

Yuan: "Oh Gotcha!, the coffee will be ready in 5 minutes."

Y/N: "You're the best Yuan."

Y/N patiently waited for the coffee at the counter, meanwhile wondering what she would talk about to Matthew Gray Gubler once she can get back to the table. There were many different conversations that ran through her head that she could possibly play out while talking with him, but none of them seem to be smooth and eloquent enough.

Yuan: " Y/N Vanilla Latte and Hot Americano."

Y/N slowly approached the counter to pick up her two cup of coffee, instead of her usual giddy steps, this time she decided to slow her pace down, to buy more time to role-play different conversations that she could possibly make before reaching the table where the man that Y/N often fantasize about is sitting .

Matthew: "You're finally back, I was getting a little bored sitting here all by myself."

Y/N: * Gave Matthew an awkward smile as she slowly sat down in her seat, because she didn't know how to respond to that comment."

Matthew: " You probably know who I am don't you, I can tell by your reaction when you first realized who I was."

Y/N: * right at this moment she knew that her cover has been blown* " Yea, but I didn't want you to think that I was a crazy fangirl or anything."

Matthew: *started laughing*

Y/N: *confused on why Matthew Gray Gubler is laughing*

Matthew: "Your facial expression was really obvious, did you know that?"

Y/N: *insert awkward laugh* ha-ha-ha, was it really? I couldn't tell?"

After that awkward conversation exchange between the two, Y/N started to briefly mention about the show Criminal Minds, and that's how she came to know who Matthew Gray Gubler is. Both Y/N were too invested in the conversation as they started talking about literature and different kinds of books that they were interested in reading, before they knew it, it was already dark outside. Without realizing time has passed by so quickly, they decided to wrap up the conversation.

DIALOGUE

Matthew: " Wow! It's already 6 p.m, can you believe that?

Y/N: "Times fly quickly when you're having fun."

Matthew: " It was really nice meeting you, didn't expect to end up having a whole conversation about books and literature with complete strangers."

Y/N: "I guess this is where we say our goodbye"

Matthew: " I believe so."

*As Y/N started to get up, and mentally preparing to say bye to Matthew*

Matthew: " Just give me one second."

*Matthew Gray Gubler, quickly pull out a pen and wrote his number on the receipt*

Matthew: "Here's my actual phone number, I was using my manager number to message you earlier. We should keep in contact and be friends, because I really need someone to talk to about books and literature."

Y/N: * taken back at first* "That sounds perfect! I'm gonna  head out now."

Matthew: " Okay, get home safely, bye."

Y/N: "Goodnight, Bye!"
