Doyoung couldn’t take his eyes off the man sitting beside him.

No—beautiful man.

“Uh… Asahi-sshi?” he finally spoke, clearing his throat just to break the suffocating silence.

Asahi turned to look at him.

And that was a mistake.

Doyoung immediately forgot how to function.

His heart started beating faster—way faster than it should. This had only ever happened once before… and that didn’t exactly end well.

“…Anything you need?” Asahi asked calmly.

Doyoung blinked, then quickly shook his head. “N-No! I mean—yes! I mean—”

Wow. Smooth.

Jaehyuk had just left for an important meeting, dumping full responsibility on him.

Take care of Asahi, he said.

If anything happens, you’re dead, he didn’t say—but Doyoung felt it anyway.

They were now sitting in the company cafeteria.

“Uhm…” Doyoung scratched the back of his head, avoiding Asahi’s gaze. “Do you want something to eat? Hyung said you didn’t have breakfast, so… I’m in charge of feeding you.”

He inhaled deeply.

There. A normal sentence. Progress.

“Anything,” Asahi replied.

Doyoung blinked. “Anything?”

“Yes. I do not have sufficient data on food preferences.”

“…Right. Of course you don’t,” Doyoung muttered.

“Okay! I’ll order for you. Just—stay here. Don’t move. Don’t disappear. Don’t get kidnapped. If I lose you, Jaehyuk hyung might actually assassinate me.”

Asahi nodded obediently and sat exactly where he was told.

Not even a centimeter off.

Doyoung hurried off to order, while Asahi quietly observed his surroundings, scanning every detail and storing it in his system.

Whispers filled the air.

“That’s the guy from the lobby…”

“He’s even more handsome up close…”

“Do you think he’s Mr. Yoon’s boyfriend?”

Boyfriend.

Asahi blinked.

Boyfriend…

He searched his system.

No results.

Is it food?

He grew slightly confused as the word kept repeating around him.

---

“Asahi, here’s your food!”

Doyoung returned, carefully placing the tray in front of him before sitting down.

“Sorry that took a while. The girls kept asking about you—your name, your number, your entire life story. I told them we just met, which is technically true, so… you’re welcome.”

Asahi didn’t respond immediately.

He was staring at the food.

Analyzing it.

“This is tteokbokki,” Doyoung explained. “I didn’t know what you’d like, so I just got the most popular one.”

“…Thank you, Doyoung-sshi.”

And then Asahi started eating.

Doyoung froze.

…Why is he so cute?

He quickly looked away, then back again.

No, seriously. Why.

---

“Well, well… what do we have here?”

Doyoung’s entire mood dropped instantly.

He didn’t even need to turn around.

That voice.

“Dohwan,” he muttered under his breath.

The man casually sat across from them, smirking.

“Dobby,” he teased, “found a replacement already?”

Doyoung’s jaw clenched. “Stop calling me that.”

Dohwan ignored him, eyes now fixed on Asahi. “He’s way too good-looking for you. Where’d you even find him?”

Asahi paused mid-bite.

His system flickered.

Warning: Potential threat detected.

“Dohwan, can you not?” Doyoung snapped. “He’s not my boyfriend. Jaehyuk hyung asked me to look after him.”

Dohwan scoffed. “You think I’m stupid? I know you. Three years, remember?”

The air turned tense.

Meanwhile, Asahi simply continued eating, completely unfazed—like he wasn’t sitting in the middle of a brewing disaster.

“…Let’s go,” Doyoung muttered, standing up. “Too many toxic people here. You might get infected.”

Asahi followed without question.

But before they could leave—

A hand shot out.

Grabbing him.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Dohwan’s voice hardened.

Asahi slowly turned his head.

Still calm.

Still silent.

Which only made Dohwan more irritated.

“No one ignores me,” he snapped.

Before Doyoung could react, Dohwan grabbed Asahi by the collar—his hand sliding up to his neck.

Doyoung’s eyes widened. “Hey! Let go—!”

But then—

Click.

Dohwan’s fingers brushed against something behind Asahi’s neck.

A small, hidden switch.

Asahi froze.

His eyes flickered.

“Warning…”

His voice dropped—mechanical, distorted.

“System… shutdown.”
