First impression lasts. Well, at least for me.
I love to differentiate the first impression I had with the certain person to when I get to know him or her better. It takes some time for I do not easily initiate the first move.
But now, it is different.
I'm with the members for a getaway relaxation away from our hectic schedule in a foreign country. It is a one sunny day in the month of April. The heat is bearable. Mind over matter.
At first, I do not care. The bus will leave in an hour. There's a one hour interval and because of how unlucky our day is, we missed the bus that left at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon. It is only 1:03.
We wait outside, near the river. Instead of the shed coming from the roof of this limited waiting area, a huge tree shed the light for us. It is refreshing to be honest. No one dared to say a word. We all stay quiet while waiting.
"Thanks to you I drive for almost forty-five minutes away from home." A gal suddenly appear, approaching this alone woman I think five meters away from us. The language she's using is English despite of being in South East Asia. Their accent is clear and somehow sounds a little Western but still Asian.
"I forgot your street. So I just head straight here in the city knowing that you can never resist me." The lone woman answered while still scanning the documents on her hand.
"Here. Cookies and Cream for you, Choco malt with extra creampuff for me."
"Are they selling this with glass cup?"
"No. I had mine and asked them to serve it in this cup. Eco-friendly."
I don't know if it is just me or the other members' eyes are on this two too. Some of us are wearing sunglasses while the others are wearing a cap, facing the opposite direction. As for me, the sunglasses are my best friend.
The lone woman is on a formal attire wearing off-white pants and sleeveless red collar blouse paired with heels. Her hair is tidy tied up. She must be an office employee. Meanwhile, this gal who just came a minute ago is on her above the knee peach tube dress, a pink see-through sleeve lace dress just below her knee length on top of her peach dress are slightly covering her skin. Her white and gold high cut heels like sneakers or what so ever are a perfect match to her outfit. Her waist length hair remains untied, showing her beach wave curly hair. Instead of summer itself, I can see the transition of chilly spring and summer at her. She's like a model or a flight attendant but her height are telling me no.
They had a chat in both of their native language and English. There are some of it that I can understand. Not to brag but yes I can partially understand them.
"Pa! Where's mama?" The shorter girl said over the phone. "Me and Halley decided to spend a day and maybe overnight? At the resort near our town. Here, let me hand the phone on her." And they both exchange their phones.
Are they still asking permission to stay out all night? I mean, "Still" despite of their age?
"Okay, love you!" They both ended their call.
"My mom can never say no when it comes to you. You know that?" The taller and smiley woman said.
"Yeah. That's why you always use my name on your dates. Knowing that your parents will say yes if you're with me." She answered.
Wow. A friendship like that is to die for! Exaggerating or not.
She help her with her paper works. They are both having a talk about whatever it may be. Then, another woman arrive just in time.
