Thomas Thorne , a modern poet, was to attend a sophisticated party at Higham House with poets and musicians. When he and his cousin finally arrived at the house, Thomas couldn't wait to get inside, to see lady Isabel.
"A fine house isn't it cousin, wouldn't mind inheriting this!"
"Yes, indeed "replied Thomas "although I wouldn't want to live here!"
They hopped off their horses and let the groundskeepers take care of them as they walked up the pebble path in their long fashionable coats.

As they entered the room for today's entertainment Thomas couldn't help it but the moment he stepped inside his eyes were immediately drawn to lady Isabel and his heart was thumping.
"Shes lovely, Francis, absolutely beautiful. I need to know if her feelings have remained the same since our last encounter." Said Thomas eagerly
"Then let's go talk to her!"
"No, no, no. Shes with her father, I'll have to wait until later, but I really wish to speak to her now."
"Then go write her a letter cousin, I will deliver it! I will be your cupid."
With that Thomas rushed off to an empty room and started to write down his feelings for Lady Isabel, longing to be with her.

Dear Lady Isabel,

Ever since the last time we were together, I have never stopped thinking about you and I long to know that you feel the same. My love for you could fill all the oceans in the world and still have more. I love you with all my heart but your father does not think me worthy. If you truly love me too, write me a response but don't let your father know. If he finds out then we have no chance of being together for he does not understand my feelings for you.

All my love,

Thomas Thorne.

Thomas handed the letter to Francis and he thanked him.
"Thank you cousin!"
Francis immediately set off to find lady Isabel. First of all he thought that she might be down stairs with the party but then he heard floorboards above creaking. Francis quickly walked to the huge stairs and went up only to find lady Isabel writing her own letter.
