His Salvation

Chapter 2

"I'm home," I scream as follow the sound of the whiny old men that usually loiter around the house. As I walk into the kitchen I notice my very pregnant mother standing on a stool trying to reach the top shelves.

"what the fuck are you doing Mom?" I shout as I rush over to her.

"Why didn't any of you stop her? What if she got hurt? what would you tell dad? Do you really want to die this badly?" The more questions I asked the angrier I got and the more I wanted to hit someone.

"I'm sorry Ms. but  Mrs. Cage refused our assistance, she said that if we helped she would castrate us," One of the men answered with fright shimmering in his eyes.

"Oh, I'm sorry it seems that you all would prioritize your balls over your life because if anything had happened to her you would be a thousand times dead by now," I say in a deadly calm voice, one that would surely haunt them in their sleep tonight, that is if they live to see tonight with the depths of my anger raising.

The angrier I get the more clouded my brain becomes and the more dangerous I am.

"Vera, stop it! You should know by now not to underestimate your mother I can take care of myself," My mother says as she gets in a fighting stance with what seems to be a vicious expression on her face, but to me, she just looks like a tiny cat with a bulging stomach, it was quite the site actually and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Now go to your father, he's waiting for you in his office," My mother voices as she kisses the top of my head and smacks my butt.

I dig my fingernails into the palm of my hands hoping to further calm myself down after one of my many tantrums; As I walk into my father's office I notice a man sitting with his back faced to me talking to my father.

"Oh, there you are, princess, how was school?" My father asked as I went over to give him a kiss on the cheek, as I turn to greet the man sitting across from us I notice his eyes first, a beautiful hazel color that resembles the sunset, while admiring his beautiful figure my eyes finally settle on his face and I'm left in shock.

"Hey, you're that guy who was trying to jump off the school building this morning," I shout in recognition while pointing at him, my hands fall to my side and my eyes grow wide in anticipation as the man looks at me as if saying ' have I met this bitch before?' 

"Yes that was me, I was contemplating whether or not it's ok for me to be in this world, I was going to jump but then you came and interrupted me, so I guess that was the universes way to tell me to live, thank you for that now I have the will to make my dreams a reality," The mysterious man says not sounding the least bit grateful at all, actually he sounded a little annoyed, did he want to die?

" Oh? so you guys know each other? well, that just makes this a whole lot easier, "My father says not even a little affected by what we had just said.

" Ok, Vera this man will be your husband, "My father declared as he pats me on the head and gives me a gentle smile.

"Ok fine, when's the wedding? I don't want anything fancy," I say not the least bit upset about the news, I know what you're thinking what normal girl would just accept being married off so suddenly, but that's just the thing, there is nothing normal about my life.
