" Please come and help me, Ava"

"Get me out of here"

" Come to me Ava, The time has come"

Ava jolted up from her bed, panting heavily. She scans her surroundings. Gladly she was still in her room.
The same dream haunting her since childhood. The same deep voice but this time it said " The time has come"
What does that mean? She has no idea.

She searches for her phone in the nightstand and looks at the time shown on the display.

6 AM.

Every day she woke up around this time because of the same dream. And it was funny that she didn't need an alarm. In her weird dream, she'll always be in a dark room. Although it had a single small window, it wasn't enough to let the light into the room. She could hear a deep voice calling for her. Sometimes from above her, sometimes from a corner of the room sometimes just near her ears. But no one will be there even if she looks around.

It was the same every day but today, it was different. She could see a big wooden door with some beautiful carvings on it, opening to the bright white light. She had to cover her face to adjust to it. She slowly removed her hands from her face and walked into it. On the other side, there was a wedding ceremony going on. Everyone around was dressed in some ancient attire. Like in the princess movies. The bride and groom were kissing while people around them cheered. She couldn't figure out what their face looks like. Then everything began to shake and she woke up.

" What a weird dream! " She exclaimed with a pout. Her door slams open and her two best friends rushed inside. They took the pillows and started beating her with it while screaming.

" HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY DEAR PUMPKIN!!" Giggling, Ava tries to snatch the pillows out of their hands so they would stop messing with her.

Ava was out on a beach, celebrating her birthday with her friends Mary and Elena. She saw a small crab crawling on the sand and exclaimed happily.

" Hey, look there, it's a cute crab!" She ran after it leaving her friends behind. The poor crab ran through the sand, trying to find the best hiding spot it could find so that the human wouldn't catch it. Seeing her childishness, her friends were having a hard time holding back and cracked up, rolling over the beach sand.

" Poor crab is running for its life from you" Saying that Mary,  laughed even harder.

" Oh please, bish, at least I taught it how to crawl faster."

" I can't with you girl. Come let's go and get some ice cream"

"You guys go and get it. I'm gonna go and find that cute crab" Her friends shook their head and let the birthday girl do whatever she pleased.

" Hey, you, Stop right there!" She called out to the crab which was now moving in a zig-zag manner to avoid her.

" I won't bite! Come here you brat!" People around her gave her a weird look seeing her talking to the crab as if it could understand her language.

After a few rounds of failure, she gave up and sat down on the sand feeling tired from all the running. The seawater kissing the land, soaking her legs. Ava started to write her name on the sand with her fingertip. Her finger poked something hard. Through the cracked sand she was able to catch the sight of something shiny.

She removed the remaining sand enclosing whatever the object is. A loud gasp left her lips as she stared at the sparkling diamond ring. It was really beautiful and the probability of it being fake was zero by the way it was shining

She looked around expecting to find the owner somewhere. It wasn't crowded as usual. Everyone was in their own world and no one looked like they were searching for something they lost.

Should I give it go the guards or the police station?

She was contemplating her thoughts. Something inside her told her to keep it. She wasn't sure since she could be accused of stealing if someone complaints about it. After a few minutes of debating with herself, she shoved it into her purse. The girls came back with the ice cream.

It was night and Ava was leaning on the railings on her balcony, staring at the shining moon. Suddenly she remembered the ring she found out today on the beach.

" Omo, the ring!"

She opened her purse and fished the ring out of it. Her curious eyes scrutinized the beautiful diamond ring shining in her hand. She couldn't help but caress it with tenderness. Her soft fingertips brushing against the dazzling diamond. Something about it was mysterious and she felt like it was dragging her towards it. But little did she know.....

Ding dong......

The doorbell rang, startling her.
