The sun harshly peaked from the blinds, threatening to burn my eyelash off and i groaned and turned the other way smiling in victory when that i have successfully evaded the sun's harsh glare but that moment was short-lived when my door swinged open. "NEROLI ANDERSON! get your butt up! Our last paper of exam is about to start in T-minus forty minutes!" My eyes snapped open and i shot out of bed. I had to compose my self at the rush of dizziness i felt and look towards the door seeing my best friend Ellie. My eyes widened and I looked at the wall clock above the door. "Shit! I overslept" i looked at my roommates bed and saw that it was empty. Ellie followed my eyes and frowned "that bitch didn't even wake you after everything you've done for her, i. Swear girl one of these days I'm going to put hands on her" i laughed out while removing my pyjamas. I used five minutes multitasking in the bathroom from brushing my teeth to taking a quick bath and trying detangle my Afro.

I came out and Ellie has already spread out out my uniform and i smiled grateful at her. I quickly grabbed my undies and put it on followed by my uniform. After applying the necessary hair treatment. I combed out my hair and decided to place it in a bun. I applied body spray and then looked at Ellie for confirmation. She smiled and nodded "let's go". We quickly rushed to class and got there a minute before the bell. "Good luck" we looked at each other as we both said it in unison and laughed. The teacher walked in and scrutinized all of us before clearing her throat "okay class you know what to do. You have an hour to answer these questions and shade with a pencil...............
"We're done finally!" I smiled and nodded "like this week has been hell. I'm just glad it's over you know. We both walked to my room and i started to pack my things "I can't wait for you to meet my folks, you'll love them I'm sure" I looked at her and smiled "I'm glad you invited me over since my parents can't make it this time, it'll be so fun to spend the holiday together". After packing my things we went to her dorm room to also pack hers and went headed to the parking lot. "Well our driver is on his way, I can wait to go home and just relax. And get out of this stuffy uniform"
"Anderson! Bolton!" We both turned to look at a middle-aged potbellied chubby man who ironically was our sports Coach. "My two favorite girls. I look forward to seeing you after the holiday" we both smiled and thanked him in unison and he nodded and walked towards. A black SUV pulled up and then a man came out and started walking towards us "hello Miss. I'm so glad you're finally home. The Al-" Ellie quickly cut him off and hugged him. "Oh! It's good to see you Dave, meet my human Friend Neroli" his eyes widened and he nodded and started to load the bags into the car. I found it strange that she call me human but just shrugged. We both got in the car and then began the journey to Ellie's house.

The car finally stopped and i came out in awe starting at the house in front of me. It was very beautiful and big!. Ellie came out and walked towards me "Ellie you didn't tell me your place was situated in the forest and that's this place is a town! Seriously! Its so cool" she smiled sheepishly. "Our community likes it like that. The peace and quiet is Serene and we're all happy and live in peace and tranquility" I smiled and we both went inside.
"My little gummy bear is home" Ellie ran towards her dad and jumped into his arms causing me to smile. A woman walked towards me and gave me a hug. " You must be Neroli, Ellie has told me so much about you! My name's I'm Rita and that's my husband Nicholas" i smiled "nice to meet you all and thanks for letting me stay here" Rita frowned and shook her head "Nonsense you're Ellie's friend and that makes you family"
"Okay we'll leave you two to go and hang out. You know where the kitchen is and our dinner is usually at seven but today is important so you and Ellie can eat in her room okay?" I nodded and with that they both left leaving me and Ellie. "Let's go to my room our bags are already upstairs". Her room is very spacious and the bed looked like it could fit about five people. "Are you hungry? We both skipped breakfast. Let's go to the kitchen and get something to eat then we'll tour the town" we both went downstairs and Ellie fixed us something to it.
After that we spent the rest of the afternoon touring the town. I got to meet Ellie's friends and they very really nice. The place was flourishing but something was off. People were preparing like a king was coming and i remembered the important dinner Ellie's mom was talking about. It's was around seven when Ellie looked at the time and stiffened. Let's go home. Its late. We entered into the house and went straight to Ellie's room. I found it strange but she put down the curtains in her room making us rely on the florescent bulb. Thankfully she she has a bathroom in her room so i just went in to take a shower. I avoided pouring water on my hair and just brushed and cleansed my body. I grabbed a towel an dabbed my body. I came out of the bathroom and then put on my nightdress going commando. I placed a satin bonnet on my head and then went to lie on her bed "dayum, your bed is soft!" Ellie laugh and then stopped. "Can you keep a secret" I turned to look at her. "Well I have a huge crush on a guy and he'll he coming today to the meeting. He's so handsome Neroli and i really wish he'll notice me. I already love him so much-" i stopped her with a pause. "You're really serious?" I asked her and she nodded frantically. " I really hope it works out for you creepy stalker" she gasped and started hitting me with a nearby pillow and we both started laughing. We heard another laugh echo downstairs and she smiled. "There here. Come with me please outside. We won't go outside just to the balcony and look at my man" I frowned at her "are you crazy?! Your mom said to stay upstairs" she pouted her lips and i laughed "okay fine but just from the balcony" she squealed and we both opened the door slowly and tiptoed to the balcony. I was a little overwhelmed at the amount of people gathered in the house and grateful that i wasn't downstairs. The men downstairs looked to be really powerful and spoke strange words like pack and Luna. I look towards Ellie and she had a dreamy look on her face as she stared at someone. I was about to follow her gaze when i heard a thunderous voice from down below;
"WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE!"
