Luke
It's been five days. Five days since I kissed Calum in his kitchen. Five days since I walked out. Five days since I saw him or Michael or Ashton. My mom brings me cookies and I eat coffee ice cream.

My phone vibrated violently, nearly falling off of my bedside table. LOVE flashed across the screen, signaling another new text. I opened my phone and tapped on messaging, opening the app.
From : love - hey baby, you haven't been answering my texts and I'm worried. Your mom says that you dont want to talk? I dont know what's going on but talk to me baby. I love you.
I sighed and threw my phone to the end of my bed, where it continued to vibrate with tweet notifications and text messages.
A few hours later I was sitting at the kitchen counter when my phone vibrated again, this time with a call. I answered without looking at who it was.
"Hello?"
"Luke? Oh, thank god you're alright." I sighed in relief. At least he isn't mad.
"Hey, baby. Sorry I kinda fell off the grid, I just needed some time for myself, you know?" I could practically hear him nodding through the phone.
"Yeah, I understand. Hey, I'm coming over with ice cream and rom coms. Good?" I laughed, his innocent voice so cute over the phone.
"Like you need to ask?" I laughed again. "See you soon, babe."
Ten minutes later, Michael was at my door with two tubs of coffee ice cream and four different rom coms.
"Oh wow. This is exactly what I have been needing. Thank you baby." I kissed him on the cheek before bringing him inside.
After watching three romantic comedies with Michael and going through one and a half tubs of ice cream, I was tired.
"Okay babe, I think you should go." I turned to Michael on the couch, him still having a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.
"Really?" He asked. But with his mouth full of ice cream, it came out more like , "rwallu?" I laughed, pulling the ice cream off of his lap and setting it on the table. "Oh god, now my crotch is fucking cold!" Michael screeched, his hands over his downstairs. I smirked and pulled his hands away, moving to straddle his torso.
"I can fix that."
Calum
I didn't know what to think. Five days ago, I kissed Luke. Five days ago, he stormed out. Five days ago, he came back and kissed me.
"Calum?" I heard my mom knock softly on my door.
"Come in." I turned towards the wall so she couldn't see me.
"Hey, Cal. How you doing baby?" My mom sat down on my bed, rubbing smooth circles on my back. "You've missed church for a while, why don't you come back? Pastor Liam has been asking about you. And that girl, what was her name? Cammie, Callie, Cameron, oh! Crystal! That's it. Crystal Stevens has been giving me letters for you. I'm just gonna leave them-"
"Mom, stop!" I pulled away from her and stood up out of my bed, cutting her off. "Stop talking about church, stop talking about Pastor Liam, just stop talking. I don't want to go to church anymore! Can't you see?"
Her eyes filled with tears and she collapsed onto my bed in sobs. "I-I just wanted," she gasped for air, looking up at me. "I just wanted to talk to my little boy. You seem so, so distant lately and I just don't know what to say, okay? I don't know what to talk about when your father goes out. So I talk about church. Because I know that whatever happens church will always be there for me. Church can be there for you too Calum. I may not know about the latest soccer game or who did drugs this season, but I know that we can always talk about church, right?"
My mind was numb. I nodded with no feeling. She rushed over, mouthing soundless words and enclosing me in her arms. She mouthed more words before releasing me and leaving my room, shutting the door. I stood there, feelingless tears streaming down my cheeks. I slowly sank down until I was on the floor, sobbing.
My mother is the most Christian person in Australia. How am I going to tell her I'm gay?
