Thomas had trouble sleeping that night. It was becoming early morning, the sun was starting rise above the horizon and Thomas' head was like a tornado. His thoughts were swirling out of control. He hated Alexander, no, he hated what Alexander did to him. He couldn't get Alex's hypnotizing brown eyes out of his head. He couldn't stop thinking about how it would feel to hold him in his arms. Or how his lips would-
"Snap out of it! He's your nemesis!" He scolded himself. There was no way he could like Alex, he wasn't going to believe it. He hadn't felt this way since Martha. His past wife was the only person he's ever loved in such a way. What would she think of Alex? His thoughts stopped for a second, he was gay? Since when? These feelings were all so new to him. He's never thought of Alex as anything other than an annoying asshole, but when he really got to know the guy, he can't help but love him and his adorable smile. Thomas continued to stare at the ceiling as these thoughts swirled around his mind.
A knock at the door startled him, "Yo, Thomas, get your ass to the kitchen! Food ain't gonna make itself!" Thomas groaned and rolled over covering his face with his blanket, "Go awaaaayyy" he whinned.
Alex opened the door and jumped on Jefferson, "Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!!" He yelled as he continously jumped on the bed beside him.
Thomas grabbed the pillow that his head was on and threw it at Alex and then hid under the covers again. Alexander hoped off the bed and yanked on the blanket, pulling it out of Jefferson's grip. The blanket fell on the floor and Alex frooze.
Thomas was only in his boxers. He knew he should look away, but he couldn't. He was so hot, Alex never really realized how good looking Jefferson was. Thomas chuckled snapping Alex out of his thoughts. He turned away blushing.
"Can't keep your eyes off me, eh?" Thomas smirked.
"I- I'll be in the kitchen" Alex ran off, closing the door behind him. Thomas quickly got dressed, a little embarassed he was seen in only his underwear. He laughed thinking about the other man's reaction. He looked at himself in the mirror, did Hamilton think he was good looking or had he misread his reaction? He pushed his worries out of his head and walked into the kitchen as confidently as he could.
"Sorry about that, I didn't think..." Alex started stepping away from the stove where the eggs were cooking.
"It's okay" Thomas said as Alex pulled his phone out of his pocket. He nodded and started typing on his device before Thomas snatched it from him.
"Excuse me! That isn't aloud, remember what Washington said?" The taller male held the phone in the air where the shorter man couldn't reach, "No messaging anyone else, we can only communicate with each other."
"I- Wasn't- Messaging- Anyone!" He said, jumping for his phone between each word. Then an idea popped into his head. He put his hands on Thomas' sides and started tickling him. Jefferson bit his lip, trying to keep a laugh from escaping his mouth.
"Alex! Stop it-" he couldn't help it anymore and he started laughing, placing Alexander's phone on the kitchen counter. "There! Take it!" He said between laughs. But Hamilton didn't stop. Thomas ran into the living room, getting time to catch breath before Alex ran in behind him and continued to tickle him.
"I didn't know you were this ticklish" He smiled at Thomas' laughter. Alex tripped over Thomas' foot and accidently pinned him onto the couch. Their faces were only inches away. They could feel each other's breaths, Thomas still trying to catch his, the position they were in not helping. They both felt pink creep up on their cheeks as they looked at each other.
"I... um... should go check on the eggs." Alex got off Thomas and went back to the kitchen.
Hamilton tried avoiding Jefferson after breakfast. They had eaten in silence, taking glances at each other when they thoght the other wasn't looking. After that Alex shut himself in his office. Why he didn't want to face Thomas, he didn't know. Maybe it was because all he wanted to do was kiss him, and was certain he didn't like him back. They were arch enemies after all, there was no way they'd have feelings for each other.
After dinner Jefferson and Hamilton stayed seated at the dinning room table. They were going to discuss work matters. Thomas looked at Alex who was still focused on his papers. Alexander was telling him about his plan for after they could finally leave the house, but Thomas wasn't paying attention to anything he said. Instead he was thinking about Alex himself. His eyes were focused on his lips, the ones he wanted so badly to kiss when Alex had fallen on top of him.
Thomas was so deep in thought he didn't realize Hamilton was now facing him, "Thomas! Are you even listening to me-" Thomas leaned in, not able to wait another moment, their lips met. Alex's eyes went wide for a moment, but then he closed them and kissed back as he felt Thomas' arms wrap around him. When they finally pulled away from each other, Alex smiled and Thomas was blushing like crazy.
"T-thomas?" Alex was still trying to catch his breath from that unexpected moment. Oh no, Alex didn't like him back, did he?
"I- I should um.. go to bed now," Thomas stuttered, his face as red as a tomato. He didn't know if it was from embarasement or from the fact that he just fucking kissed Alex! He quickly got up and started leaving to his room when he felt a hand grab his wrist.
He turned as Hamilton placed a kiss on his cheek, "G'night idiot," he said before grabbing his papers and walking away to his own room.
