"Colby" she said cutting me off
"This,this is a promise ring. All my promises are in this ring." I say to her
"I don't know." She says
"Listen,if you don't want it you can take it off and give it back to me at any time. But right now I just want you to wear it." I say to her. She hesitantly nods. I slip the ring on her finger and kiss her hand. I walk over to the bed where my daughter is..
"You too babygirl, I promise to become a better dad for you, I promise to protect you, I promise to give you my all. I promise to fix your broken heart." I say to her, she looks up at me with theses hazel eyes. I see the tears in her eyes..
"It's ok." I say to her, I hug her and slip the other ring on her finger,I kiss her on the head. I looked between the two girls
"You guys ok?" I ask
"No" they say in unison
"It's gonna take more than a ring to fix my heart,Colby" Rebecca says to me
"I know,and I'm willing to do anything to fix it" I say back to her.
"You told me that and look where that got us.." she said
"I'm better now,Rebecca. I'm ready, I'm sad too. I hate what I've done. That's why I'm so willing to fix it. I want more kids,I want us to be married, I want your trust in me again. And If that means I have to go to hell and back to do so.... then so be it." I say to her with mild tears
I walk up to her and lift her chin up with my finger,I can fill us getting closer. My heart pounding faster... my daughter squealing in the back. 'It's do or die Lopez' I think. Here goes nothing....-
