Chapter 8

Practice and private lessons went good. Draco and I had a good time and we're on our way back to the common room. As we were walking in the court yard laughing I stopped dead in my tracks. I needed to tell Draco I had feelings for him.
"Draco....." I managed to say. "Y/n...?" He looked at me nervously. "I need to tell you something but I don't know how to say it." I sighed. "I'm not getting any younger. Spit it out!" Draco laughed at me. "It's just we are supposed to be enemies, but lately I think that I-i-i have feelings for you.....?" I almost dropped dead right then and there. "Oh.." he replied. Oh? That's all he had to say! OH! "Is that all you're going to sa-" I tried to say but got cut off by his soft lips touching mine. I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach as I put my hands on Draco's cheeks, his going on my back. He slowly reached his hand up my blouse and up my back. I felt his big cold hands moving upwards on my back, but I knew I couldn't let this happen. I was trying to talk to him! I pull away slowly, looking him in the eyes.
"Draco...I don't want to be a toy. I want us to be something." I said looking down at my feet. "Well we could make that happen." A smirk grew on his face "D-does that mean you like me too..?" I said looking back up at his face. We both turned red, once our eyes met. "NoOoO!!" He said laughing "Yes, y/n, yes it does." His whole face started to turn red now. "Promise to never break each other's hearts...?" I questioned silently. "Promise." Draco let out a sigh of relief. "Should we go sit in the common room?" I said with a smile on my face. "Yes my darling let's go." He grabbed my hand and walked me to the common room.
As we sat down I went to my room to change. I walked into my room and noticed a small box on my bed. I slowly picked up the box and read "Merry Christmas, y/n - Love D.M" from the top. Cautiously opening the box I saw a beautiful emerald green ring along with a necklace. The necklace had a silver chain with a small snake at the end dangling by a silver ring. My face immediately shaped into what looked like a puppy getting picked up from the pound. I slid the cold ring onto my finger and admired it. Soon after I put on some joggers and put Draco's jumper on from the other night. I quickly grabbed the necklace and went back to see Draco.
"No words can describe how much I love the gifts Dray." I sat down next to him "They're beautiful and I couldn't ask for anything more." "I'm glad you like them honeybee." He replied. No one has used that nickname in a long time. "Will you put my necklace on for me?" I stuck my hand out with the cold silver chain laying in my hand. "Gladly." He cooed and grabbed the necklace out of my hand. I moved my hair to my shoulder and turned around. He slipped the cold silver chain around my neck and clipped it shut. "It looks great on you." He said in amazement. "I'll make sure to send something to you for Christmas. I have to stay at hogwarts this year..." I said holding his hand. "If you're staying then I'm staying." He demanded. "Dray you don't have to-" he cut me off by kissing me again! AGAIN! I kissed back then slowly pulled away.
"I should get going to bed now.." I said standing up. "Don't go!!" Draco said grabbing my waist and hugging me. "We have class tomorrow! Anyway it's Friday tomorrow too! We can spend the whole weekend together, ok?" I said patting his head "okay..." he said releasing his grip around my waist. "Now goodnight honeybee." He said kissing me on the forehead and walked me back to my room.
