Mom starts walking towards the house while I stand there, dreading seeing him again but also looking forward to it. Sure he's a stalker but he's also super cute, I shake my head trying to get that last thought out of my head and jog to catch up with my mom. I take a step towards the door and am about to knock when he opens the door. He smiles as soon as he sees me.
He doesn't say anything, just steps back and motions us inside. I start to shake my head no but my mom steps inside. I sigh and follow her through the door, brushing past him. He closes the door and walks past me and my mom, leading us through the house. We end up in the kitchen, and a women, who I assume is his mother, is sitting at the island.
The women glances up at us as we enter. "Jimin are these the new neighbours that I've heard so much about?"
He nods, "I thought that we should invite them in so they could enjoy these cookies they made for us." He turns to me, a smile still on his face, "Would you like to stay for a little while?"
I step back saying no but my mom is louder than me. "Of course, May was just talking about how good the cookies were so I'm sure she would love to stay and have some." She gives me 'the eye' and leans towards me whispering "Wouldn't you like that." It was more of a statement than a question so I knew there was no getting out of this.
I nod and muster up a small smile, "Of course, it's not like we have anything else to do." I set the box of cookies on the counter and lean against a wall.
"Well my name is Elizabeth, but most people call me Elle." She gestures to the boy, Jimin I think she called him, and says, "This is my son Jimin, as you might know by now." I smile a little, I actually remembered it. Jimin, it's a cute name just like him. I frown and shake these thoughts out of my head. What am I thinking?
I look up and see my mom smiling, "My name is Layla and this is my daughter May." She sits down by Elizabeth-or Elle- and they start talking about who knows what, so I zone out.
"Jimin why don't you show May around. I'm sure she doesn't want to stand there and be bored the whole time." Elizabeth says, bringing me back to reality. I glance over to my mom and she nods and gives me 'the eye' again, so I sigh and push off the wall while Jimin walks over to me.
"Well," he says holding his arm out, "shall we?" I scoff and push past him, ignoring his arm. I make it through the kitchen and into the dining room where the stairs are before turning around, realizing he wasn't behind me.
"Are you just going to stand there or are you going to show me around?" I ask hands on my hips.
"Well isn't she sassy." Elizabeth says making my mom laugh.
"Look at them," Jimin says from behind me, making me jump. How did he get there so quickly? "They already look like best friends." His smile widens as I frown. That might be a problem.
"Right this way," he says.
I walk up the stairs, trailing my hand up the railing. "So beautiful..." I whisper to myself looking around the house.
"It is isn't it?" Jimin says, still behind me. I turn back to face him and almost fall. He puts his hand on my waist to steady me. His hand brushes against my skin and a chill runs up my spine. "Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah I'm fine," I say quickly walking further up the stairs. "So how many rooms are up here?" I ask.
He shrugs, "Let's see there is my room, the bathroom, a room that you can't see, my mom's room, and a couple of guest bedrooms. And on the third floor is a small library." I look at him astonished.
"You have a library?!?" I ask about to run up the rest of the way.
"Yeah, but that will be the last stop on this tour." I look back at him and pout.
