"Did you see? The restrictions got lifted." The group was eating cereal in the living room as they watched the news. Benni smiled, knowing that it wouldn't be hypocritical for her to decide to visit Nick now. "Masks are still recommend though."

"That's fine by me," Delilah stated, grabbing her bowl and walking to the kitchen. Benni turned to Rodney who was wiggling his eyebrows. She smiled at him, reaching for her phone to look for flights.

"You're really smiley over there," Jaime commented. Benni ignored him as she searched. Alex leaned over to peer at her phone, furrowing his eyebrows at what she was looking at. "Are you buying tickets to see Nick?"

"Yeah." Benni had missed the looks from her two other friends as she happily noticed some decent flights. She heard Alex clear his throat, making her look up. "What?"

"Isn't that a bit too soon?" Alex asked. She looked from Alex to Jaime. Rodney looked confused at what they were trying to insinuate right now. "I mean, you haven't known him for that long and you just started dating."

"Why is that any of your business?" Rodney grumbled. "None of us made a big deal when Delilah came to meet Jaime."

"Heard my name," Delilah sang as she walked in. She paused when she noticed how tense everything was. Benni felt a bit suffocated and confused. Did Jaime and Alex not like Nick?

"But that's different." Jaime groaned, rubbing his hand over his face. Delilah looked at Benni, trying to figure out if she was okay. Benni tried to smile, looking down.

"How is that fucking different?" Rodney stated. Benni began to rub her wrist, growing nervous by the minute. "Why can't Benni go visit her boyfriend?"

"It's fine." Benni stood up abruptly, trying to smile through her watering eyes. "It's totally stupid for me to go meet up with Nick. I'll make something up and not go. I have to go upstairs and do something."

Benni rushed out of the living room, Odie hot on her trail. Opening her door, the two slipped in as she leaned against her door. Benni slid down, pulling Odie to her lap. He began to lick her face as she laughed. It hurt that Alex and Jaime didn't want her to see Nick. Why was it any different that Delilah and Jaime?

Her phone began to rang, making her look down and notice Nick's contact. She felt bad. He was excited to see her and now, Benni had to create some stupid lie for her friends. But at the same time, she didn't want to lie. At this point, she was confused.
