I wanted to thank everyone who's read this far. It really means a lot. I will continue this book.
Thanks for reading.
"It will take much more than meer ego to kill me before the flames strike twelve" said Avdol and pointed at the man.
"who are you anyway?" you asked, cutting Avdol off. "Another one of Dios minions?!"
"please excuse me" he turned to you. "My name is Jean Pierre Polnareff, and you? " he smiled. You scoffed and folded your arms. Jotaro rolled his eyes and pulled you behind him for safety. You found this a little patronising but let him do it anyway.
"Merci Beaucoup" said Avdol, [Magicians Red] standing menacingly behind him. "my thanks for the introduction. However.. " Avdol pointed to the clock as it burned brighter and burned the table. "Polnareff. You would be mistaken if you assume my flames burn upward or with the wind." he explained, a smile planted on his face.
Polnareff spoke up. "In the beginning, there was fire." he said.
"good lord, a poet" you mumbled under your breath earning a chuckle from Kakyoin.
"I should have expected as much from [Magicians Red], the emblem of beginnings, the wielder of fire, of creation" he stared blankly at Avdol. "and yet you speak of ego?"
He threw 5 coins in the air. You watched them closely as [Silver Chariot] stabbed all of them through at the same time. "H-How?!" you said. "he was so fast that he could stab through all 5 coins at once!"
"no look closer" said Jotaro, letting you step forward.
"He..."
"I see.. He's cut a flame for each coin" said Avdol. Polnareff smirked, holding the sword in front of him.
"so you comprehend the significance of my movements" he said calmly. "I'm no Egoist. My Stand can slice apart flames and atmosphere itself, creating gaps between the layers of gasses."
Avdol looked slightly distressed. "Face it, your flames are powerless against my [Sliver Chariot]" he said as his stand flicked the coins off and disappeared.
The coins dropped to the floor and Polnareff stood by the entrance to the restaurant. "W-When did he-?" you said to yourself.
"My stand... The Chariot is the card if Victory and conquest" he explained. "I could be modest and despise of you in this room, but is not your flame ability better suited to wide open spaces, Avdol" Avdol glared at Polnareff. "To destroy you at your best is the only victory worthy of my stand." he walked outside before shouting. "ALL OF YOU, OUTSIDE!"
Polnareff ended up taking you to a strange looking place called the 'Tiger Balm Garden'. Avdol and Polnareff fought. You could tell that Polnareff was smart but cocky, he got carried away easily.
You watched with Jotaro, Kakyoin and Mr. Jostar. You couldn't help but feel worried for Avdol and started to tao your foot on the floor, something you would do to releave your stress. Kakyoin saw you doing this and realised something was wrong. He grabbed your hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. You galmced at him mouthing a 'Thank you' before watching the fight.
In the end Avdol won. Polnareff was laying on the floor, covered in flames. You didn't want to see a man burn alive, but couldn't turn away. Avdol threw Polnareff a knife. "Fire is an agonising way to perish" said Avdol. "take the dagger and end it."
You couldn't help but feel sorry for Polnareff, who stared helplessly at the dagger. He picked it up, put it under his chin, then collapsed.
You walked towards him and stood about 3 meters away. He looked at you. "I choose to perish slowly from my burns" he said sadly, laying down and accepting the death that was handed to him. "it would be cowardly to end my life myself"
You looked towards Avdol, who was walking away. He turned towards you and clicked his fingersa nd the flames were extinguished.
Joseph was holding Polnareff. "Now that the flesh bud is gone, we can be buddies. Ta-Da" he said.
You smiled and let go of Kakyoin hand. He was a little disappointed but didn't show it. "Hey Y/N, doesn't that annoy you?" asked Jotaro.
"Huh?"
"people who make stupid puns all the time, or is it just me?" you laughed.
"The boat we chartered from the Speedwagon Foundation yesterday should be at the harbour now" said Mr. Jostar.
You walked next to Jotaro, who kept on giving you brief glances. Suddenly, out of nowhere Polnareff walked in front of you. "What's wrong?" asked Avdol. "something on your mind Polnareff?"
"I never thanked you properly for freeing me from Dio's mind control." he said gratefully.
"don't thank me, thank JoJo." replied Avdol.
"I'm good" said Jotaro, looking down.
"It was a kind thought, but it seems to have fallen of deaf ears." said Avdol.
"as you wish. I have no desire to come off as heavy-handed." Polnareff said, disappointed. "but I'm not quite finished here. Monsieur Jostar" he walked up to Mr. Jostar. "I hope you'll indulge my asking a very bizzare question."
"Buzzard question?" Mr. Jostar repeated.
"its none of my business, but I noticed you never took off your gloves, even while eating" he crossed his arms. "your left hand wouldn't happen to be a right hand would it?" he asked.
You were confused. 2 left hands? Well it wouldn't be the weirdest thing youve heard in your life.
"what? My left hand a right one?"Mr. Jostar said, obviously just a confused as you were." you weren't kidding about the bizzare part. What are you talking about? "
"I'm looking for the man who murdered my sister" Polnareff replied. You all gasped. He explained how he didn't know what the culprit looked like but he had two right hands.
Mr. Jostar took off his gloves and showed Polnareff his prosthetic hand. "its a wound from 50 years ago...a badge of honor. "he explained.
Polnareff looked down." I apologise for being so rude. Please forgive me. "
" if it's not too painful, tell me what happened" Mr. Jostar said.
Long story short, Polnareffs younger sister was murdered by a man with two right hands and Polnareffs is determined to find the culprit and make him pay. You had to respect his enthusiasm about the whole thing and nodded.
Looks like your group of 5 was now a group of 6.
