Chapter 5: I can't lie here all day!

"Huh.. what?"
Alex...
"What do you want?"
ALEX!
My eyes shot open I started breathing heavily. I thought I was just dreaming about the whole thing. I looked down at my arms and legs, and realising they were still quite red from blood, I decided to think the whole thing was real. And then I looked up, and realised everyone was crowded around my bed. I screamed, and everyone backed away from me. Apart from 2 people. One of them, wearing a cactus suit, and a santa hat, which I found quite wierd, seeing Christmas was over, and the other being a sorta...half human half wolf I suppose?
The cactus man looked down at me but said nothing. The wolf person on the other hand looked down and said "Are you alright?"
"Eh, more or less. Just a few cuts and stuff."
The cactus man looked down at me and said Looks more like a few cuts. You were drenched in blood until we poured a bucket of water all over you."
I looked down at my clothes to see they were soggy. I gave him a look that said "Really? Did you have to?" And he shrugged. "It was Jay's idea"
"What? No it wasn't!" replied the wolf girl. The cactus man laughed.
"So, who are you two?" The cactus man said "I'm Myles, and this is Jay"
"Oh, well I...er... Hi there. I'll come help you build a house if you want..." I tried to sit up only for Jay to stop me "No Alex, stay here, Me and Myles will go build."
"Alright, if you insist... wait, how do you know my name?" I asked, baffled.
"He told me" She pointed to Varro. He smiled at me. "Ok, we'll see you later. Come on Myles" They went downstairs and I heard the door shut. Varro, Bristol and Livvy looked over and Bristol said "We better get going too." They too went downstairs and I heard the door shut, leaving me in my bed. Fluffy then came upstairs with a cookie and a bucket of milk.
"I heard you weren't feeling too good, so I got some stuff for you."
"Thanks, but I think I'll be going down to the cav-"
"No! You gotta stay here and rest!"
"But Fluffy! I can't lie here all day!"
"Just, drink the milk and eat the cookie, please? I'll be back in a bit, I'll go check on the new people."
"Alright." As he left, I drank some of the milk, ate the cookie in one, and went to sleep.
