:You and your boyfriend, Sean Diaz, have been together for 6 years:
Trigger warning for this chapter. It's dark.
You stroll down the street and fish your phone from your pocket, tapping on the contact of your boyfriend. You text him, 'Gonna go visit someone rq'.
He doesn't reply, he hasn't replied in a week. You think he might be angry at you, it wouldn't be the first time. Ever since he got into a car accident 6 years ago he had been quite snappy with you, and sometimes ignored you for a long period of time.
Shrugging, you continue on your way, stopping by the local florist's shop to pick up a bouquet. She gives you a sympathetic look, and you ignore it. She always looked at you like that. You didn't know why, and it pissed you off. You slide the money over the counter and pick the flowers up, smile on your face as you keep strolling.
Eventually you find yourself beside a beach, and you stare at the small house on the sand for a few moments. Looking back at your phone, you see a 'Seen' below your text. Frowning, you type another, 'Pls answer me Sean :('
You wait a few seconds, and then...
'Stop texting this number you crazy bitch.'
"Ugh," you huff, "He's so hot and cold. One week he's apologetic, and the next he calls me names. Whatever," you open the car door and step out with the flowers in your hand, walking toward the house on the beach. You place them beside the wall and turn, leaving. 'Maybe Sean will be waiting for me at home,' you think, hopping back in your car and driving off.
--
A hand came up and dried the tears from his cheeks, fighting the urge to throw the phone across the room. He badly wanted to ditch the phone or change the number, but he couldn't bring himself to.
The blonde had watched a silhouette pass the window of the house, and he growled to himself. 'Did she come back?' He stood up and threw the door open, bare feet stomping across the sand. His fists clenched as he saw the bouquet of black roses laying in front of his brother's makeshift grave.
He pulled his phone back out of his sweatpants and typed furiously.
(For anyone struggling to grasp it here's a summary: You lived in Puerto Lobos for a while, and learned of a boy named Sean Diaz who died for his brother at the border. You thought he was cute and eventually became obsessed with this dead guy, and ended up getting his old phone's number. Daniel is the one texting you and telling you to fuck off.)
