Izuku lived alone in the woods, taking care of his little garden and cottage that sat by a stream. It was peaceful and quiet, enjoying rainy nights sitting by the fire and reading books.

It was a bit lonely yes and he didn't really have friends, the closest village being nearly two hours away on horseback.

He was grateful though, loving his home. Though..a little change was always good right?

And exactly that happens on one of his days in the forest when he's out collecting berries for a pie. He had been nearly done filling his basket when he heard loud flapping, like wings

Looking up, Izuku saw something that took his breath away.

It was a dragon.

A big, real life, dragon.

It was massive, towering over trees as it landed from the sky, though once it's feet touched the ground, it seemed to be just shorter than the great nature around it. After a moment, it weaved through the trees, trotting surprisingly close to Izuku towards a cliff side of a mountain, moving a giant boulder to the side to reveal a cave...

Though it stopped, head tilting upwards.

It smelt something.

After a quick second, it's head turned to the side and looked directly at Izuku even if a few bushes were hiding him.

The little human gaped before covering his mouth and ducking down behind those bushes. 'No way!...it saw me?? How...do dragons really have that good of eye sight?..I should leave-'

But before he could even move the trees around him began to sway and he heard those wings again though now they were much louder.

'Oh no-'

Izuku was still as stone but he was certain he'd piss himself. He was going to be eaten wasn't he?

Wind picked up, blowing leaves all over the place, any creature going flying just as Izuku did. With a scream he tumbled out of his hiding place, location being given away in a second.

A shadow of the beast walked up easily, crawling through the mess it had caused, eyeing the little human below it now.

Izuku sat up on his elbows, mouth wide again. He wanted to speak but nothing came out but a string of white noise.

"..y..ar...d....dragon!"

He was eye to eye with its huge blue ones, those sharp teeth throwing him even more off. "P-p-please!..i didn't know this was your home!! I won't c-come here again!...don't eat me, I'm not yummy at all!" Izuku pleaded, tears in his eyes.

Could the dragon even understand human speech?

It's head leaned down, seemingly curious. The beast didn't look too hostile once you looked past the fangs and scales.

Izuku whimpered, thinking it was trying to bite his head off and tried to scramble away.

"Squirmy.." a rumble sounded after a solid three seconds, the dragon's head rising now. It seemed displeased if anything.

The male was back to being frozen.

"Spoke...you spoke!!?" Izuku screamed, no longer afraid and now had a sparkle in his eye.

The dragon looked back down on him with a bit of displeasure once more. "Loud too."

The greenie covered his mouth, embarrassed before slowly putting it back down. "S-sorry...I've just never seen a ..dragon before, let alone one that could speak! This is amazing~ i thought for sure you'd eat me."
