Chapter 3

After being downstairs with my family, I finally decided to go back upstairs. It was getting late and at the moment all I wanted to do was sleep. Even though it was only nine o'clock. But tomorrow was a big day...well I guess it was. I'd be up late definitely not drinking like the others will be but I'd have to deal with drunk teenagers. Especially my friend who loved to drink whenever she could.

I had a feeling I'd end up walking since most people would drink more than one drink, but it didn't really bother me. As long as I got home on time I'd be fine.

My only problem with this whole party thing is that I had no clue what to wear. I could probably ask Claire and I will. But that was tomorrows problems. Tonight my only task was to sleep and that's exactly what I was about to do.

I walked into my bedroom, grabbing my pajamas from my drawer before quickly putting them on. Sweatpants and a T-shirt. Nothing special. I walked to my own bathroom where I began to brush my teeth.

I liked how my father trusts me. He always has. I loved that about him. He always shows that he loves me as well. I've always been responsible since mom passed. She use to take care of me while my father was out working, but I've learned to take care of myself. He always says I remind him of my mother. That I act exactly like her, but I don't see it. I may look like a mix between them, but I don't think I act like them.

I finished brushing my teeth and started combing my hair back. The elastic around my wrist soon wrapped around my hair making a messy bun. I washed my face and got most of my makeup off before heading back into my bedroom.

I laid down, pulling the blankets over me. The extra pillows that were usually atop my bed were now lying next to me. One pillow I hugged tightly every night...to help me sleep I always loved to cuddle something. With that, I fell asleep minutes later.
