Chapter 12

A hour has passed and it's already dark.
We won't make it to my mom's house.
After the train ride, we still have to get through a 3 hour bus ride until we finally get there.
Hmm
We should stay at a hotel for the night
"Aone, I'm looking for a hotel for tonight, we won't make it"
He nods
"im searching for a cheap one"
He nods
We didn't talk much
"your mom is very nice"
He looks at me
And makes a 'yes' noice
"i didn't expect her to be so tiny and chatty.
" Your dad must be huge"
Aone nods
"did you spend alot of time with your dad? "
He nods
"my dad used to read mangas with me. Actually, your mom and my dad are very similar."
I get this weird feeling in my stomach
"He was this old chubby man everyone liked
He used to always make jokes at family gatherings. On Christmas he would spend hours cleaning the chimney so that Santa could 'slip right through'.He made such a big effort for even the smallest jokes, just to put a smile on our faces. Being a funny guy didn't stop him from secretly eating Santas cookies.
But we always caught him
Hes such a bad liar haha"
I stop talking

"He was a really nice man"
My eyes tear up
"I hope he watches over me in heaven"
I start crying
It hurts
It still huts
"we both were raises by good parents"
Aone says
He continues
"I will do my best to protect his daughter"
I look at him and smile
"I'm sure he would've liked you"
I go sit next to him and hug him
"yeah he probably would've loved you
how could anybody hate you? "

At the hotel
We checked into a really cheap hotel, we won't stay long anyways.
The funeral is on Tuesday
And it's Sunday afternoon so we have some time
I will probably show up at my parents house on monday around 2 pm

Me and Aone share a room
And a bed...
We don't have much baggage
So we don't take up much space.
It wasn't necessary to get a second room, not that we had the chance, we're broke.

By now I trust Aone
He doesn't even know where to put his hands in a hug and I always have to give him permission to actually touch me
And it's good that way.
We slept in the same bed yesterday so it's not a big deal
Nothing much will happen

"I'm taking a shower
You can go to bed"
Aone nods
I get my stuff out of my bag and get ready to take a shower
I really need a hot shower right now.
Im still wearing my skirt
I need to change into something..
Maybe I can borrow Aones t-shirt

"hey Aone, can I borrow a t-sh-"
Oh he is shirtless
Oh shit

I mean of course he is, he's going to bed he can't sleep in his daytime clothes
(well I sleept in my skirt but we are going to ignore that)
I can ask him later

I showered pretty quickly
The water wasn't as hot as I wanted it to be but it's fine
I didn't think about much
Maybe once or twice about Kanji and how shes doing
Or maybe I was thinking about Aone
But that not so important

"im back, you can go shower now"
Oh Aone is asleep
He sleeps much doesn't he?
There is a t-shirt on my side of the bed

He wouldn't trow his clothes around
He probably understood what I was asking earlier

I put it on and go lay next to him
Its hard to big spoon a giant
But it's also fun
