"Hold on to me and never let me go, because I'm not leaving you anymore"

They had the moon in their eyes, and these collided with such intensity that the eye contact mesmerized them. It was a fusion of desire and love. Slowly, Neji made his way inside Hinata more calmly. They took their time exploring each other very thoroughly. They touched each other so much that, in detail, they memorized every part of each other.

The rain had stopped falling, but they didn't even notice. For a moment, the cold outside air that managed to enter made contrast with the warmth they emanated and that urged them to stay close.

"That's the way it should always be."

The time would come to clear up family details, commitments to the ANBU organization, and all that was to come. But, at that moment, they only had themselves, enjoying each other. Loving each other. And they would not allow anything that was coming to separate them, because after so much pain and the closeness of the final goodbye, they understood that the best thing to do was to support each other, and make them a single force.

After all, fate could be changed.

And Neji was the proof of it.

Gentle kisses were being placed on Hinata's back and shoulders as she looked to the side, resting her cheek on her hands together on the pillow, appreciating the first beams of sunlight. Their bodies were still naked, but there was no sexual intent at that moment. She felt the pressure of Neji's body on top of her, and she liked the feeling of being this close to him, she couldn't help but smile at having him there.

She was starting to fall into a deep sleep.

After a long time she felt calm enough to be able to secure a restful sleep.

The night had started out restless; worries and the inability to sleep were her only company for many nights until today that cycle ended and she could, finally, put aside whatever was preventing her from resting peacefully.

Having him with her, Hinata could feel everything become more relaxed and brought her the peace she sought to feel when Neji was missing. "This connection," she said to herself, "is something that only you and me share, nii-san," regardless what many people thought, regardless of village commitments and real world responsibilities, they could create their own little world when they were together, and make whatever was inside it be filled with love.

- What are you thinking about, Hinata-sama? - She felt Neji's voice snap out of her thoughts.

-On us. - She said softly, as she was still listening to him, but the urge to sleep was overcoming her.

Neji made his way up, settling himself on Hinata's side to hug her from behind and move closer to her. They had the same view. The sun was beginning to tint the sky orangey pink along with some clouds still in the sky, he wished to share more moments like this with his kireina; and whenever he was at her disposal, he would make sure to give her his best days and, on the worst, he would love her that much more. He would love her even more.

- Shall I take you out for breakfast later? - he rested his chin on Hinata's shoulder. - I want you to rest for a few hours, first. In the afternoon, we will probably have a meeting with the organization and the Hokage, I don't know how long it will take. - He wasn't leaving yet, and he was already missing Hinata. He knew that hours and hours of conversation, planning and strategy awaited him. But, for the moment, he wanted to continue to feel her without interruption.

Hinata nodded and snuggled a little closer to him. She was about to fall asleep. That involuntary gesture of moving closer to Neji touched him too much. It was no secret to anyone how much they loved each other closer, their bodies even sought each other out. With that in mind, he was able to lay his head back on the pillow and allowed himself to fall into the comfort of the situation. Hinata by his side, his body relieved of tension and his heart pleased.

"We're ready for what's coming, kireina. Stay with me, because I'm not going anywhere" was the last thing he thought before closing his eyes and falling asleep peacefully. There would be time to heal those wounds that, being with her, didn't even bother him and to fulfill the protocol of the mission.

While they slept, the morning continued to go by and they remained attached to the closeness of their bodies. Neji had not been wrong to need to see her, although he didn't expect her to be awake at that hour, it made a nice coincidence to find her waiting for him on that night.
