Hi everyone! I had this idea come to me quite randomly!
You walk into the office, drained from your days off which were supposed to be relaxing but instead you were moving into your friend and coworkers appt. Emily was nice enough to take you in after your ex just dumped you and forced you out in the same day.
You get to your desk and plop your things down before walking over to the coffee machine. Today is a day you will need it. You put your phone in your bag, having put it on silent due to all of your family members "caring" about you and asking you what happened.
You were slightly hungover from drinking with Emily last night, though she was trying to badger you about why he broke up with you. You told her 90% of the truth.
You make your way into the conference room and take a seat.
"So Emily told me what happened this weekend, girls night wherever the case is?"
"Hell yes Pen, that is just what the doctor prescribed"
"Why did I prescribe that"
Spencer walks in and chuckles at his own joke before sitting in the seat next to yours.
"Josh decided to break up with Y/N"
Reid looks at you, trying to see if you're okay.
"No profiling I'm fine guys"
"Why are you not fine" Derek Morgan says while walking in with your boss Hotch.
"I clearly said I'm fine"
Derek deadpans at you.
"Everyone in the world knows fine is not fine"
Garcia pipes up that it's time to talk about the case thank god.
You learn about the crimes, women in high level careers being murdered by strangulation in Albany, NY.
After maybe 15 minutes of everyone talking and looking at the crime scene photos you see Emily's head snap up.
You turn around and leap up from your seat and rush out of the room slamming the door behind you.
"What are you doing here" You state in a hushed tone.
"You never gave back the key and you weren't picking up"
"Josh you could have just waited until I saw your message"
"I want my key back now y/n"
You walk over to your bag and grab your key ring out of it and start to take it off, having some trouble because key rings are fucking annoying.
"I see they all know, most of them are glaring at me"
"I mean even if they didn't know you showed up here looking angry and I'm giving you a key back it's not that difficult to profile"
