Birds vs Monkeys

The music stopped abruptly as light flooded in.

The leader of the monkeys walked up to Maxine, Jewel, and Blu. "You three are coming with me."

Maxine scoffed. "Like hell we are." Her and Jewel spit on the ground in front of the monkey.

"Yeah!" Blu tried to spit but it came out like drool. He wiped it off. "Well, that was meant for you."

Rafael came over and put his wing around the monkey. "Come on, can't we all just get along?"

The leader pushed him away. "This isn't your fight, Big Nose!" He lifted up a hand to hit him, but Kipo stopped him. "You mess with my friends, you mess with me."

"And us!" The others spoke.

"Yeah, little King Kong!"

Everyone glared at each other. Maxine made eye contact with the leader and narrowed her eyes more.

"BIRDS VERSUS MONKEYS!!!" Pedro yelled.

"Get them!"

Maxine heard a ding and looked at the trolley that was nearby. "Come on, we got to go!" Maxine yelled to them.

Maxine was flying with Nico when she saw all the monkeys attached to the chain that connected Jewel and Blu. Stopping Kipo from going any farther. Nico gasped. Maxine looked around for something to use when she remembered Nico's cap. She took it off of his head and tossed it and it hit the top Monkey's face. When the cap came back Maxine grabbed it and set back on top of Nico, who smiled. "Ooh! Take that, you funky monkey!"

Maxine landed on the top of the trolley with Nico just as Rafael and Pedro landed also.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Pedro cheered.

"Man, we threw down!" Blu said

"Yeah, we threw down!"

"You guys were like fire and ice!" Rafael told them.

"Thunder and lightnin'!"

"Yin and Yang!" Maxine smiled.

"Hip 'n' hop!"

"Cheese and sprinkles!" Blu said.

They all stopped laughing and gave Blu a strange look.

"It's a Minnesota thing."

Everyone laughed.

"You see? Nothing you say makes any sense!" Rafael said.
