HIS CUTE NERD

Chapter 1

"Ah,nooo!"
I look at the empty apple juice in disgust,then at my plate full of cookies.

"Okay,now there's no apple juice to go with my cookies,Holy shit!!" I said to myself.

"I guess I'll just text my mum to get some when she's getting home from work"I said with a sigh.

I then walk towards the trash can in the kitchen and drop the empty apple juice in it. Then took my phone and the cookies from the kitchen table then walk into the living-room and collapsed down on the couch at my favorite spot and munched down some cookies. Then i sent my mum a text asking her to pick up some apple juice and milk on her way home.

My mum leaves earlier than i leave for school,gets back home a couple of hours after i finish with school work.

Since I am kinda anti-social, I usually spend my time after school studying to keep up my grades or watching total eclipse or pyaar impossible.

Yeah I'm pretty much a loner.Although I never used to be, until my brother,Aldrake went off to college couple of months ago. Aldrake and i get on pretty well, In spite of the usual brother and sister arguments. I do miss him alot and seeing him only on holidays is not sufficient for me.

After watching total eclipse for a couple of hours and I finally hear my mum come in and says hello to me. I walk to the kitvhen where i notice her sitting a grocery bag down on the triangular kitchen table.

"Hello,mum," I say whilst I help her unpack her the groceries and placed the apple juice and milk in the fridge.

"How was school today honey?" She asks as she fetch some fruits to blend to make smoothies.

"It was better I guess."

She gives me a nod. I can tell she's actually stressed from her day at work

"Did anything interesting happen at the hospital? "I asked my mum.

Ummm,well i did a surgery on a little boy, who had a coin stuck in his throat."She replied.

"Ouchhhhhh."I scrunched up my face.

She laughs."Do you care for a glass of smoothies."

"Sure mum."I say as i give her wryly smile.

She then hands over a glass of smoothies to me.

"I guess i have to go to bed, good night mum and mum tomorrow I would be going out to look for a part time job" She kissed my forehead.

"Good night, sure Elle, good luck."She waved me.

I went to the bathroom, took my shower,brushed my teeth and and wore up some clothes and got ready go out to look for a job.
Rushed downstairs and ate some cookies and drank some milk. I grabbedmy phone and car keys and rushed towards the door and locked it.

Its almost late afternoon,when I went to every business in town,looking for a manager or someone who could give me an application.

It was when I was at a small italian restaurant,talking to the manager about an application,and listened to their apology about how they didnt need a new staff at the moment when a beautiful woman called out to me.

"Excuse me young lady."She said kindly.

I turned to the beautiful looking woman sitting at small table.She was wearing nice clothes and glittering jewelry. She had dark brown hair which matches with her flawless makeup

"Yes?"I asked and smiled shyly.

"I'm sorry for the interference,but I couldn't help overhearing that you are in need of a job."She said politely.

"Umm,yes. I've gone to some places and picked up applications,I'm kinda frustrated right now."I supplied.

"How old are you?".She asked.

"Fifteen,I'll be turning sixteen next year."I replied.

"So you go to Rising Sun Academy?"She asked and I answered wordlessly, nodding.

"Alright,well i think i might have a job for you,if you're interested."She said kindly.

"Definitely!What's the job?"I asked as she gestured me to sit down across from her which I complied with.

"Well, I have a daughter, she's seven and my husband and I have pretty demanding careers. I am a surgeon in the city's hospital whilst my husband owns a large business which he is alwaysout of town. Actually,we have a son just older than you just two years,but he also has a pretty busy schedule and can't watch her. So,we need a babysitter and I hope you're interested."She asked me.

I smiled,"Yeah,I would definitely love to do that,I really love kids"I said and she smiled widely.

"Great!My husband would like to meet you and we both want to make sure our daughter likes you,so if you wouldn't mind doing a trial test? We can do something on Monday after school." She asked.

"Yeah,so Monday right?"I asked.

"Yes dear,my husband and i will go out to dinner to meet some partners of his and can watch Brianna. That's her name, by the way,and what's your name?"She asked.

"I'm Michelle but you can call me Elle."I said as we exchanged numbers and she stood up.

"It was lovely to meet you,Elle."She said.

I drove back home and told my mum about my luck later in the evening when she return from work.
Then,I got a text from the woman,who introduced herself as Saffy,giving me her address. I also asked her about some of the things Brianna liked to do,i could come prepared.
