Scarlet's POV
On my way to school, I called Alicia and asked her to wait for me at the front of the school.
I hadn't told her about what Aiden said to me because she would have crushed his throat and I wouldn't be there to do anything.
I chuckled as I imagined it in my head as I drove. The school badboy, Aiden, beat up by the best friend of a girl he had offended.
Catchy heading.
I packed my car in the school's parking lot and met Alicia waiting for me in the school as I had requested.
"Hey, Al"I said, hugging her.
"So, how did the date go? You refused to tell me over the phone when I called. Was it romantic? Did you kiss him or he kissed you? Are you guys dating now?"Alicia blurted out, stupidly and I laughed at her curiosity.
"Al. Calm down. It was just a studying date and besides nothing could've happened after what he said"I said and became saddened again. I told her everything as we walked into school, while trying very hard to hold my tears.
"Oh my gosh, Carl. I'm so sorry for what happened to you. If I see that Aiden, I would slit his throat with my pocket knife"she threatened and I smiled, as I remembered the pocket knife she took with her everywhere she went. Even to prom!
Probably wondering why Alicia carries a knife every where, right?
Well, in ninth grade, a guy that liked her told her that if she didn't go to junior prom with him, he would rip her favorite doll's head. Since then, she has had this insecurity that guys would try to force her to do something she didn't want to do.
Although, no guy has tried forcing her into anything since they found out about her pocket knife, she still carries it about.
Just as I was about to reach my locker, my eyes locked with a familiar green one.
Aiden.
We stared at each other for awhile before I took my eyes off his as Alicia teased me of being in love with green eyes.
"I need to go, Carl. You know how crazy Mr Eric can get"Alicia said, getting her books.
Mr Eric was our crazy weird Chemistry teacher. Once he asked her to write an essay of 4000 words just because she came to class 10 seconds late. He even asked a guy, James, to go kiss the old smelly cafeteria lady, Jasmine, just because he called him 'disgusting'.
Gross.
"Ok. Save a seat for me please"I said to a running Alicia.
I quickly turned to my locker and searched for my English notebook and textbook.
"Scarlet Walker"
I turned back sharply, startled when I heard my name but my expression dropped when I saw it was. I turned back to my locker, angrily.
"I don't want to talk to you. Go away"I said, nonchalantly.
"I'm sorry about the other day, Scarlet. I was given wrong information from a reliable source"Aiden said, coming closer to me.
"I'm not mad at the fact that people are saying that I'm a player and all but for the fact that someone I recently met is saying that to me, without knowing the real me"I said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, nervously.
