It was a cloudy night as Sarah and her parent's arrived at their new house, it's vast shadow visible in the moonlight. Sarah was so tired that her mother showed her to her room, she was asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow.

When she woke in the morning she looked around her room, it was a pretty baby blue color and, the walls were bare, I'll have to fix that later, she thought to herself. The only things in the room were a bed, an old rocking chair in the corner, and a brown, sleek looking wooden dresser with a closet to the right of the door. She walked over to the window on the wall opposite the door, when she did she saw that her room was on the second floor of the house looking over the bright green lawn of the front yard. Hungry, she went downstairs her mother was sure to be in the kitchen cooking breakfast "Mom?", she called. "In here, honey.", her mother called back, Sarah followed her voice.

The kitchen was a small room but with a strangely spacious feeling, there was a marble counter that wrapped around the entire room, built into the left side was the sink and fridge, on the counter across from the doorway was the microwave and toaster, and all around over the counter were cabinets, snowy white with black handles. Sarah looked at her mom, "Is breakfast almost done?", "About thirty more minutes, while your waiting why don't you go and explore the rest of the house.", her mother suggested.

So Sarah went to find her dad, he turned out to be in the living room. It, like in most houses, was the biggest room in the house. There was a large L shaped black couch in the corner facing the television, beside it was a small yet comfortable looking reclining chair, in which her dad was sitting in watching the morning news. "Hey, dad.",  she said, her dad looked up from the TV "Hi, pumpkin, did you sleep good?", he asked, "Yeah. Do you have anything planned for today?", she asked. "Well, I was thinking we would finish unpacking all our thing's.", he said. "Oh. Do you know where all my clothes are?",she asked, "They're in the van", he said, "Okay. I'm going to go get them", she said. The front door was directly across from the stairs.

Outside, Sarah walked to the van, a silver minivan, beside it was her dad's jeep wrangler which he won on a game show, black, menacing, and so big the the tires reached her chest, it loomed over the van like a guardian. She grabbed her bags of clothes from the back of the van and went back inside and got dressed. Her mother knocked on her bedroom door, "Breakfast is ready.", she said. Sarah walked downstairs with her mother. For breakfast they had pancakes, bacon, potatoes, and eggs. After breakfast they started unpacking, it wasn't much just clothes and pictures, but it took a while to hang up the pictures so by the time they were done it was almost four o'clock. When they finished Sarah's mother started cooking dinner. While her mother was cooking, Sarah and her father decided to go outside they walked out back and Sarah realized that there was a small creek behind the house. "Welcome to the peaceful side of New York", her father said. "It's beautiful" she said in awe.

They stayed outside for a while, talking, playing games, and just enjoying the air. They didn't realize how long they'd been out there until Sarah's mother called them inside for dinner. They ate chicken, rice, and beans for dinner. When they finished they watched a movie together, when it ended, Sarah took a shower, brushed her hair, said good night, and went to bed thinking of what tomorrow would be.
