"you know, the argument didn't sound to awful." moira started, trying to comfort her royal friend. carefully sitting down moira didn't exactly what to do. she was outside of the door and only could here so much. the only thing that she knew was that the argument was bad, really bad.
"i don't want to be the fucking queen." hannah grumbled.
moira paused, trying to think of the best thing to say. with weary moira decided to approach her angered friend with caution "oh please, it can't be that bad. the people respect you, and it's not like you're going to be the worst leader the kingdom has seen."
"i'm not fit for queen, i know i'm not" hannah started while rising from her pillow making way to her closet . "first off, i don't know how to be a diplomat, all of the stupid political business i'm going to have to do doesn't interest me in the slightest. second, i don't want to be in charge, if i fuck up, it's all on me..." walking out in riding attire hannah froze with a shock of anxiety, what is she couldn't be the leader that everyone expected her to be.
"i don't think you would be that bad of a leader" hannah turned her head looking at the pale girl. "you need to stop taking your fathers words to your heart. he's obviously testing you to make sure that you can handle the criticisms that will come your way." while hand hannah her riding boots, the loyal servant looks at her friend with stern eyes.
"go for a ride and clear your head, you need to stop worrying so much ok. you're my best friend and i know that you can be an amazing queen." nodding her head hannah left with out a word letting her friends words sink into her head. walking to the stables she walks past her fathers study with the door wide open. with a small glance inside, the two pairs of eyes locked on to each other. a grimace on hannah's face, taking a step forward she didn't look back at her father and continued her way to the stables.
arriving there, the princess walked to her horse rexi and strapped his straddle on. quickly walking towards her, one of the royal knight approached her with a question. "your majesty, may i ask where are you going?"
"i'm going out, i don't know when i'll be back but don't expect it to be soon." mounting onto her horse, she rode him out of the stable and made her way to where ever she ended up.
after hours of riding, hannah stopped at a small pond at a the edge of the land. getting off her horse she approached the pond and sat down enjoying the bright sun. the small sound of nature surrounded her with calming peace and relaxation. looking towards the pond hannah noticed some slow movement. looking closer she noticed a small turtle.
"aw hi little guy." hannah cooed walking closer to the animal. reaching out to pet the turtle, it made a quick snap at her fingers. "oww what the hell!" hannah stated while grabbing her hand. looking up she noticed some smoke in the background, quickly realizing that it was in the direction of the castle. rushing to get back on her horse, she raced to get back to her kingdom to figure out what the smoke was about.
back at the main part of the kingdom, every thing was smeared with hot flames surrounding the area. buildings and shops burned close to ashes and many citizens burned and left for dead. the fire was spreading quickly without delay, and merging out of the flames, there was a dark figure with beaming red eyes stalking towards that terrified princess. frozen in fear, hannah hears a terrifying voice whisper into her ear "run..."
turning her horse hannah raced out of the kingdom into the woods with the flames following her. turning her head she notice the black figure following her, almost catching up to her. looking forward she realized that she was going to run off the cliff into the rapid river below. falling down the last thing that hannah saw was the dark figure looking down at her and smiling and the princess fell to her certain doom.
holding on to rexi for dear life, the tide took the pair down the stream rushing towards the rapids. knocking her head in a rock, hannah lost her grip in rexi and quickly lost consciousness, falling into the darkness of night.
"you think she's dead?"
"she doesn't look dead to me honestly."
