"you think she's dead?"

"she doesn't look dead to me honestly."

inspecting the body, the tall blonde look at the poor girl with sympathy. "what should we do to her?"

"leave her." stated the fellow traveler with him. "the kingdom burned two days ago, she's practically useless now."

john david looked at his colleague in shock "sira we can't just leave her-"

"oh yes we can." sira interrupted without thought. "look at the gash in her head, who knows if she can actually function when she wakes up" the tall woman face flushed red, silently showing john david what her mind really said.

"sira come on," john david sighed "you know it's the princess, we have to help her some way" sira stared back unconvinced. walking away back to her horse john david called out to her.

"if we keep her we could get money for saving her." sira stopped in her tracks and looked back at john david. "dumbass, did you forget that the kingdom was burnt down."

"hold on," john david interrupted, "you can't possibly believe that everyone died in the kingdom do you? listen, she is technically the last living royal, if we turn her into some of her remaining guards we could get money for retuning her without injury." again sira stared at john david but this time with her face was particularly blank.

after a long pause sira took a few steps towards the unconscious princess. look down at her, sira checked to see if she was actually still alive. hannah was still breathing, even if she looked like a dead corpse from far away. the most noticeable bruise was the gash on her forehead, the following was a bite mark on her finger, and some dried blood on the side of her left leg.

sira looked at john david, her eyes told him that she didn't want to wake her up. john david looked back at her, eyes encouraging her to wake up the princess.

sira looked back at the princess and scowled she still didn't want to wake her up. looking back at john david she stated quite bluntly stated "i don't wanna."

"oh my god sira, just wake her up already!"john david yelled at her, fed up with her bullshit.

hannah woke up at the sound of the yelling, when her vision returned all she saw was a tall dark figure looking down at her. screaming in fear she moved to get out of reach but then realized that it wasn't a figure but a rather tall, black girl.

"looks like you did my job for me huh." sira said while smirking at john david.

john david sighed with annoyance, "only because you were being annoying and refused to wake her up" walking towards sira, john david looked at hannah and noticed how startled and confused the princess was.

"why hello there." john david greeted while adding his strong charm. "you have a nasty gash in your head, are you alright?"

hannah looked at her surroundings, nothing that she saw was familiar. looking back at pair in front of her, hannah started to form many questions. "what is this place, who are you guys?"

"ehh calm you tits your highness." sira said while sarcastically bowing. "or should i say calm your pancake chest dear."

hannah was too shocked to be offended. before she could say a snide comment back, she got interrupted by the tall girl in front of her. "you're far away from home hon, right now you're east of warren."

"east?" hannah thought, "fuck that's miles away from the south of warren,"

without realizing that she was about to talk out loud hannah yelled with anger "fuck i went down the river!"

"well that explains the gash on your face,"said john david while closing at hannah face. "wait here i'll get a bandage"

sira started to walk with john david but he stop dead in his track and looked at sira with warnings eyes, "not you, you stay with her."

"what that's not even fair!" sira complained, sira looked back at the confused princess and then hushed her voice "you know that i don't want to be fucking near her!"

"i don't care if you like her or not," john david snapped back, "i woke her up, so you get to make sure that she doesn't hurt herself any more."

john david continue to walk to there horses to get the bandages as he left sira standing aghast. sira couldn't believe that he snapped at her, and honestly she was impressed. she was always the hot head of the two and he was the one that kept her out of jail. rather lash out at her friend, sira decided just to bite her tongue and do what she was told, and apparently, that was watching the person that she wanted nothing to do with.

"you never answered my question." hannah stated

sira look towards hannah was sharp as daggers.

"i don't want to answer your question." sira said. this particular statement had a strong sting to it. hannah desperately wanted to call the tall woman out on her bitterness towards her but slowly realized that she had a long sword on her hip. hannah then concluded that it was best not to push her.

john david came back with the correct equipment to patch up hannah's face and crouched down to get to eye-level. "stay still."

after he was done fixing the gash he helped hannah up and lead her to the horses.

"where are we going?" asked hannah

john david turned to answer  hannah "just into town, i wouldn't think you've eaten in awhile hmm?" in that second, hannah realized that he was right, she hasn't eaten.

"ha i guess i was right huh." john david said with a small smile.

"yea... i guess your right." hannah said sadly. she was starting to remember the happenings of the last night she was conscious, a cold chill went down her spine as the memories where flooding back from that day.

john david decided not to push hannah for an answer and helped her on to his horse. with sira slowly following the pair, the trio started to head into town to meet an old friend of john david's.
