Daddy, Daddy!
Look, I made A/B honor roll
"That's nice, but why not A honor roll?"
Sorry, I'll try again next quarter.
Daddy, Daddy!
Look, I like some of the things you like too!
He didn't bat an eye.
Maybe he doesn't like those things anymore?
Dad, Dad!
Look, I got in to that performing arts school!
"Good, we'll go get you new a guitar!"
Finally, some recognition!
He only went to two of my performances.
Dad, Dad!
Look, I got in to that dual enrolled program, I'm basically in college!
"That's good, get as many credits as you can."
With the work load and helping take care of his family, I fell 8 credits short.
Dad, Dad!
Look, I finally graduated highschool and have most of my associates!
He wasn't focused on me that day, it wasn't my day.
He cared more about someone he hadn't talked to in years.
Dad... Dad...
Where are you going?
He would leave for days at a time.
Not even checking in on the family he started.
Dad! Dad!
Can you and mom please, stop fighting?
Don't bring us into this again.
Why do we have to be the mediators?
Luis, Luis.
I tried being your daughter for so long.
It's hard fighting for love and recognition where it should be unconditional.
Now, I don't care for it.
Congrats,
"Daddy"
