Percy walked through the all too familiar streets of new York and even though he had lived here his entire life , being away for just 6  months felt like a decade . 

Percy had gone to Greece to complete his studies .... or at least that's what he tells everyone . The real reason was  leaving  her.

He didn't deserve her at all . He remembered being the outcast in school with his scrawny  figure and wimpy nature . He recalled how she came into his life ... supporting him at that rough time , how they hit puberty and crossed it . They practically grew up together .

She was his everything ...  his first friend,  his first crush , his first girlfriend , his first love ..... and then he left her.... 

He crossed a cafe on the corner and memories came flooding to him .... the good ones , the embarrassing ones , the dirty ones .

Percy huffed a tearful laugh remembering that day in the bathroom . 

His eyes kept getting blurer by the second as he remembered her . So lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice the person walking towards him and they ended up crashing . It wasn't really hard to make them tumble but he still flinched from the impact.

"I am so sorry , I wasn't ..... percy?"

Oh no.. he knew this voice ....... he'd fallen   asleep  dreaming of this voice

"A..a..annabeth?...... hey how are y... ..wow , you look ... wow" she looked great ... and he wasn't lying . Her blonde hair shone brightly under the light of the evening . Her shining eyes brought life to the dull citizens . She was slightly taller than he remembered and it was clear that she'd been going to the gym a lot , a thing she does when she's angry or sad.

"Thanks. ...when did you come back?"

"Just today. Came to visit mom and Paul. . " they both kept staring at each other and after what felt like an eternity , percy knew he had to leave or else he would fall apart "gods ...it was great seeing you again , I've got to go now , "

 wai--" but before she could finish,  percy ran away from there .

Annabeth called him multiple times but he didn't pick up . It  reminded him of the first month after they split up . Knowing annabeth , he knew how stubborn she was so  Percy couldnt ignore her anymore , reluctantly  he picked up the call 

""Hello perc-"

"Krr-crr-krr-crr"

And he ended the call .

There was a knock on his door a little late in the night. He was staying at his apartment just a little away from his parents. Once he opened the door  Annabeth's face was the only thing he saw before she slapped him.

 Not sure ,but percy remembers this is how the first five minutes passed by

"Why haven't you called me?" 

A Slap

"How have you been?"

Another Slap

"Why did you ignore my calls"

And it kept going . Finally she calmed down and percy offered her to come in . They started by talking and then watching TV a little . Percy asked if she wanted anything and she asked for a drink

"Whiskey on r-"

"-rocks with a twist ... yeah I know" Percy replied . Just his luck that he still had all his alcohol stack .

They drank the burning liquid  quietly . A few  small talks about their current lives took place . Percy was surprised to hear that annabeth hadn't dated anyone  ever since the day the broke up .... the day he broke up

"Percy why did you leave me?" Annabeth asked him drowning her second glass  , her voice was slightly slurred but percy knew that she was still pretty much sober and was asking this question in her proper state of mind

"Annabeth .. I --"

"Did you fall in love with someone else?"

"I didn't"

"Then why... "annabeth asked and after a long pause she continues "do you still love me ?... cause I do"

" ... I do"

"THEN why the hell do you not want us to date again huh? "

"Beth ... I love you , but you didn't deserve me . I couldn't help wonder everyday about how maybe Matt was right and how maybe you dated me cause you have pity on me or how I can never be en-"

Percy's voice trails off as annabeth slowly sits on his lap , wrapping an arm around his neck,  she leans closer to his lips and stares intently in his eyes .

Percy tried his best to ignore her but with her intoxicating scent , and piercing grey eyes .. he simply couldn't . The smell of whiskey filled his nose alongside her own scent of  lemons and flowers , an interesting combination if you ask . But to percy it was much more  , to him it was like a drug....And.He.Was.Addicted

"Percy, to me you were always enough , you were always the one I wanted . I never dated you for pity ... I dated you cause I fell in love with how polite you were , the way you would always worry for the ones close to you. I loved the way you would scrunch up your eyebrows when you were worried or how cute you looked when you woke up in the morning  "

She brought her hand down to his lips and stared him right in the eye

"Percy ...... whatever you do , I will always come back to you"

And that's the last he heard before her lips met his and fireworks exploded in his head . Their lips moved slow and in sync , fitting perfectly against each other , their bodies  , almost agonisingly pressed together. Her hand played with his soft locks as he rubbed circles on her hip with his thumb . 

He slowly got of the couch , with annabeth wrapped around his hip and his hand supporting her back . Annabeth's hand was now cupping percy's face as he  walked towards the bedroom ,  he went slowly so that if annabeth changes her mind then they could just stop , but that didn't seem to happen

Percy entered his room and softly placed her on the bed . Annabeth's hair was a rats nest , her lips swollen and her cheeks slightly rosy . Her clothes dishevelled and her eyes completely blown. 

Percy looked into her eyes , those beautiful eyes that were so deep , percy could just keep falling in them . She interlocked their hands and attached their lips again and  he went into pure ecstasy  .

 For the tenth time percy asked if she was sure and when she replied a yes for all of them , his heart soared.  He slowly removed her t-shirt  and  kissed down on her chest as she tugged at his own shirt too . He attached his lips back to hers. For a brief second,  she pulled back and whispered

"I love you percy"

".. love you too"

And the entire time later... percy knew he wanted to live with his wise girl .... forever
