Logan walked onto the site. It was his third year working on the town project. It was meant to be a skyscraper for a small town, but with an earth quake it had been dropped on a portion of the town and had killed half of it's population. Luckily a couple years worth of tourists and people who loved mountain country brought the town back to life even though parts of it remained very dead. Logan was one of those parts of the town that had died the second that skyscraper touched the pavement.

Logan hadn't said a word in over five years to anyone. He hadn't dated a single person and hadn't even interacted with his family in the slightest, he joined a construction company and would operate some tools and earn his same paycheck and go back to his same apartment. Logan could have recovered from the incident if he hadn't been messed with by people since the moment the air touched his freshly born skin. Logan had been bullied by most of his classmates at school, picked on mercilessly and at one point legitimately tortured by his older brother. His parents worried about his mental health but he just carried on.

He walked onto the sight and grabbed his tools and put on his safety gear. Then he started to use a jackhammer on some cement, there was a group of three workers that had always treated him like sludge in a sewer who happened to be walking by when he had finished hammering into the old cement that was getting replaced for some reason. One of them had a jackhammer and nudged one of his buddies as they walked. Two of them carried the hammer over behind Logan and waited for him to talk to the third.

"Hey! Logan! Yeah you!" The guy said as he walked over and yelled at Logan who turned his head to him. "Hey Logan you should turn around right now. This is my stomping ground!" Logan complied in time to run right into the outstretched jackhammer, the other two men laughed at him as he fell onto the ground with a slight grunt. Logan got back up and grabbed his own hammer. The men pushed him onto the ground and laughed as he grunted again and three the jackhammer off of his chest.

"Aw look at this fellas. The lil rat is gonna protect himself! Show him how we don't like it when people fight back."
Logan fell after a couple punches. "Now get up and get back to your job. If we catch you slacking it's back to this." The man said as he slammed Logan's hard hat before the three of them walked off. Logan was used to this treatment, the whole town had gotten this way from the skyscraper. The man who had distracted him was actually his best friend from school who had always blamed Logan for some reason.

After the day ended and a new one started Logan got onto the sight at a later time of the evening with the same job. He had to go back to do his task with the jackhammer since the three jerks had messed it up after Logan had taken a lunch break. Unfortunately their boss had made them help him out, and nobody would notice as always since the other workers were hard at work. There weren't any cameras either so it always went off file. But that night would be different, that night Logan would snap.

During his jackhammer incident, before the next day another construction worker wiped sweat out from his hard hat and looked from his location at the site and noticed the incident where Logan would be forever changed. He had seen worse happen and stopped trying to stop it long ago, there was no point on trying to stop it in his mind. But that would change, all it took was one experience to rewrite a person like a slip of paper. Logan would be one example of the negative way, this worker who's name was Samuel would be the opposite. The evidence of the incident that would start the next day would be very common, for the next sixty years.

Samuel would go to his apartment the next day and have the gut feeling that you get sometimes where you think something bad is going to happen. Samuel wasn't wrong in the slightest, unfortunately he had already missed his opportunity to stop what would become a demon on earth.
