Helloooo! Lol you thought I wrote this. Welp I did not. It was written by my wonderful sister, thatdamfangurl3739 so all credits go to her. Enjoy

Eliza leaned over the edge of the balcony, forcing herself to try and not throw up. Come on, Eliza. Don't throw up, not right here.

Well, apparently fate hates her or her body couldn't handle the amount of champagne she had dranken.

She threw up all over the edge and once she was done she let out a small groan and was about to sit down, trying to relieve the dizziness and nausea she had when she heard a screech.

Not joke, screeching like a fucking banshee.

Eliza looked over the edge and her stomach dropped, which let me tell you, did not help her nausea.

Kitty Livingston and her date were down there and Kitty was covered in Eliza's throw up.

Welp, at least our mutual hatred can't get any worse than this level of hatred.

But Eliza was too busy wondering how badly Kitty would insult her after this, didn't realize how far she was leaning over the edge of the balcony until she felt herself pitching forward and suddenly there was cold air rushing around her body.

She didn't even have time to comprehend what was happening to be able to scream.

Then, there was small "oof" noise and there was strong arms wrapped under her shoulder blades and knees.

Eliza instinctively wrapped her arms tightly around the man's neck to keep herself from bringing the both of them down.

Once, she was certain that she wasn't falling through the freaking sky anymore she pried open her eyes.

And found herself, nose to nose with her best friend and Kitty Livingston's date, Alexander Hamilton. Eliza felt as if she was blushing for head to toe. She quickly unwrapped her arms from their hold around Alexander's neck and unhooked her knees. Alexander quickly recognized her discomfort and set her down.

All three of them were standing there awkwardly for a second before Kitty exploded, "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL, ELIZABETH SCHUYLER?! This whole night, you have been being such a bitch! First, pulling my hair which you claim was an accident, then spilling champagne on me, and now throwing up on me!! You want Alexander that bad, you whore? Then have him at this point! You can rot in hell the both of you for all I care!" Kitty was fuming as she stormed off heading back inside, to go find a bathroom.

Eliza didn't know whether to go follow Kitty and beat her ass up, burst into laughter, or start crying.

Well, she didn't have to choose any of those options because her stomach decided it was the perfect time to make her throw up again.

She clamped a hand over her mouth before turning around and spewing all over the bushes behind her. Alexander quickly reacted, jumping out of the way and once realizing he was out of range of Eliza's heaving, he gently leaned over her, pulling her hair back from her face and rubbing her back.

He waited a second or two for Eliza to stop before saying, "You know I thought I was gonna be the drunk one."

Eliza chuckled before leaning over the side again and dry heaving, "Can you just shut the fuck up and get me some water, dumbass?" She managed to say that without throwing up again.

"Aye aye, captain!" Alexander said and playfully saluted her. She heard his footsteps retreat and she slumped down, letting out a deep sigh. How embarrassing was that? Especially in front of your.... The sentence slowly trailed off in Eliza's head. What was Alexander's label in her head? She barely had any time to ponder that before she heard Alex coming back.

Alexander handed her the flute of water and Eliza greedily drank, trying to get the horrible taste out of her mouth.

She was thankful that her sister was always reminding her to put a breath mint in her pocket in case of emergencies. Well, Angelica I think that this counts as an emergency.

Eliza and Alexander stood there quietly for a second before Alexander blurted out, "Is it true?"

Eliza turned to him, a little startled by his outburst, "Is what true?"

"What Kitty said about you using her to come after me?"

Eliza's heart quickened it's pace a little, she quickly managed to cover it up by chuckling, "No, of course not."

"Are you sure?" Alexander's eyebrows furrowed, "Because it looks like it. Because three months ago, I told you I loved you and you said that you didn't like me like that and wanted to focus on your career and then tonight I spent most of the night talking, not even anything, just talking with a woman and you are doing all sorts of things! So do you!?"

Eliza twisted her mouth up and bit her lip, "I don't know, okay?! I don't know! All I know is that I'm scared. I'm scared of the responsibility of a relationship. It's a lot of work, alright?!"

He huffed, "A responsibility, really? We, as friends, hang out all the time. We run things through each other before we make big decisions and we talk about pretty much everything. Two people in a relationship do the same except they kiss and hold hands and sometimes canoodle. Why is that so different?!"

"Canoodle? Did you just say canoodle?"

"Yes I did in fact, is that a problem?"

They were both in each other's faces at this point, nearly on the verge of yelling.

They both seemed to realize what was happening and slowly their anger seeped away, just leaving the raw emotions.

"Alexander, right now, I know I have feelings for you, okay? They are not definitive but they are there. And I'm also scared of screwing up our friendship, so I want to wait a little bit longer. But I'm also scared of you falling in love with someone else while you're waiting for me because you're like the most impatient person I know."

Eliza's voice broke a little when she said that.

Alexander gently placed his hand alongside her face.

"I'll always wait for you, Elizabeth Schuyler."

He seemed to realize what he was doing and pulled his hand back down to his side.

"Well, we should go back inside besides, everyone else is probably wondering where we are."

Alexander pulled himself out from Eliza's hold and began to walk back in the direction of the ballroom.

That's when Eliza's brain decided to fuck all her previous thoughts and go into overload.

Before she could even think, she was running after Alexander. Thankfully he hadn't gone too far.

Eliza spun him around by his shoulder and cut off whatever he was going to say, she grabbed the lapels of his suit, pulled him close and pressed her lips against his.

Alexander almost instantly reacted, wrapping one of his arms around her waist, pulling her closer and ran his other hand through her hair.

They both pulled away after a couple seconds, breathing heavy.

"To hell with waiting." Eliza whispered

"You know, I said I could wait for you but this is fine with me as well." Alexander chuckled slightly, slowly tracing circles on her back.

Eliza giggled, "Just shut up and kiss me."

Alexander followed her request, kissing her in a way that made her insides squirm.

They were too busy kissing to notice their friends watching from the doorway.

"Should we go say hi?" said Peggy, tilting her head a little to the side, watching them.

"Nah," said Hercules, "Just let them enjoy that for right now before we tease them relentlessly about it later. Also, let's leave before I start throwing up all those h'orderves I ate."

The friends chuckled and left, leaving the pair in peace.
