The Christmas season was soon behind us yet again and we were alone celebrating our New Year's Eve alone with a bottle of white wine and Ellen's new box set of friends.

We were cuddled up on the sofa by the fireplace watching our friends marathon until it reached 11:59pm, we watched the clock carefully and counted down the numbers together.

"Happy New Year!" We shouted before pressing our lips hard against each other.

We both giggled and clicked our wine glasses together before downing the drinks like a rather large shot. Very classy.

"New Years resolutions, list them." Ellen giggled.
"Confidence, get a job, travel, your turn." I listed.
"More movie roles, more us time." She giggled.
"Sounds good." I chuckled pressing my lips to hers again.

I nestled my head back into the crook of her neck and resumed our friends marathon which lead up until 3am in the morning, I was starting to zone out and figured it was time to get into bed.

As I sat up Ellen plonked down onto the couch, snoring lightly, she was out cold, I chuckled a little to myself, and lifted her carefully into my arms, not taking my eyes off of her cute face, her cheeks a rosy pink from the fire place heat, pouting a little and her eyes shut tightly.

I walked her all the way up the stairs and laid her down on the bed gently then pulled the sheets over her slowly and pressed a soft kiss on her forehead before sliding in beside her and cuddling up beside her.

The next morning, or afternoon, I woke to an empty bed and the afternoon sun shining through the window directly to where I was lying. I groaned and slowly pulled myself up and out of bed, changing into leggings and an over sized t-shirt before I made my way down stairs.

As I got closer to downstairs I could hear Ellen speaking, we weren't expecting anyone, so she must be on the phone, I walked quietly into the kitchen where Ellen was and looked up at the clock, it was already 2:30pm, I yawned and grabbed the Orange juice out from the fridge, listening in the best that I could.

"February?"
"And you're sure?"
"It can't be later?"
"It's amazing."
"Of course, there's just-"
"Okay, thank you so much."
"Bye."

I poured the juice into an empty glass and took a sip, staring at Ellen as she turned around, I raised an eyebrow at her and she just smiled and shook her head. I frowned a little and put the juice back into the fridge and my cup into the sink, then turned back to her and crossed my arms.

"Afternoon sleepy head." She giggled.
"What was that phone call all about?" I asked.
"Nothing, it was nothing." She breathed out and I raised my eyebrows.
"Okay, I've got an audition, or a role." She sighed.
"And that's nothing? That's great!" I exclaimed.
"It's in three weeks, I've got to be in LA in two." She explained.
"Oh, well what about me?" I asked.
"Well there's no point in you going, because I won't be able to see-"
"It's fine, good luck." I smiled, dismissing the conversation.
"I don't leave for two weeks, don't be mad at me until then." She whined.
"I'm not mad, I'm happy for you." I rolled my eyes.
"You can come, there just wouldn't be much point." She explained.
"It's fine." I smiled. "Really."

Ellen sighed of relief and embraced me in a tight hug before kissing my temple lightly and shoving the script into my grip. I pulled away from the hug and held it up so I could read it.

"It's the script, my parts are highlighted." She giggled.
"Great." I spoke sarcastically.
"You'll love it, get reading." She winked before exiting the room.

This chapter is a little random and all over the place and it's very very late.. I'm sorry I haven't updated in forever, I haven't been in the best mind state lately but all is well now and I hope you all had an amazing New Years!! Hopefully I'll get back into some sort of routine of updating.. Hopefully.
