The Johnson Boys
Chapter Two
"Trust me Faith, this place is da bomb." Liam assured me, climbing into the back seat of his dads car. I crammed in next to him and smiled, "I'm sure it is." Was all I said. Somehow, fate had decided to sit me between Liam and Josh. We were taking two cars there, one held all the children and the other us moody teenagers. Daniel was making his own way there, apparently this outing was a welcome celebration. I wished more than anything to be left alone and sulk in peace, but Fiona had other ideas. I was dressed in my soft white flowy cotton tank top, my pale pink vans and ripped denim shorts. I had my small light brown leather shoulder bag tucked away beside me, a gift I'd received from my best friend Jamie. I Sighed at the thought of her, I missed her so much already. I gulped nervously at the thought of having to start at a new high school in just one day. Liam had his sketch book out and was flipping through it, Josh was on his iPhone, texting. Jacob sat in the front seat next to his father, they chatted away like old mates.
"So, Faith, what kind of name is that?" Josh asked, locking his phone and turning to face me with a smirk.
"Josh, what kind of face is that?" I heard Liam retort from the other side of me. I rolled my eyes at the both of them,
"No one asked for your opinion Liam." Josh said in a matter-of-fact way.
"No one asked for yours either," When Liam spoke, his grin could actually be heard in his voice. I suddenly caught sight of Josh's six pack as he stretched and yawned. I darted my eyes away quickly, my cheeks turned a dark shade of red and my palms became sweaty and tingly.
We only drove a short way, right down to a large looking boat house right outside a large dock. Fancy yachts could be seen scattered around the place, the late twilight sun made the clear blue water shimmer and sparkle casting a beautiful outlook to the restaurant. Everyone clambered out of the car and adjusted their slightly crippled clothing, I smoothed my top down slightly and grabbed my handbag, before following the others inside. The place was packed with people, an open fire was roaring in the far corner of the place and smiles danced around the lips of all the waiters making the place seem cost and friendly. Anthony walked up to the counter and had a quick chat with the guy before leading us to a table with many seats. It must have been about 10 small tables put together. A taller, solider looking Johnson sat at the table when we arrived. He looked a great deal like Josh, only a fair bit older.
"So this is the Faith chick?" He asked, smirking at me while holding out a strong looking hand.
"Yup." Josh stated while stuffing a bread roll in his mouth. Daniel just raised his perfect dark blue eyes at his brother. I shook his hand quickly and nodded, "That's me." I managed a small smile before taking a seat between him and Jacob, who was blushing for some strange reason. It suddenly got me thinking- was Jacob actually gay?
"Hey mother, can I order a mineral water? Thanks."
Ok, yes. I think Jacob is gay. I thought to myself, I raised my eyebrows at him questioningly.
"Faith, I'm gay? You know that?" He said in a 'duh' way.
"It's just- how can you be so open about it? When did you come out?" I asked, blushing at the fact that my facial expressions where so easy to read.
"Faith, sweetie. All I wanted for my sixth birthday was a Wonder Woman outfit." Jacob laughed and patted my back. I giggled, I had a feeling I was going to like Jacob.
"Faith what would you like to order?" I heard Fiona ask. I quickly picked up a menu that lay untouched in front of me and browsed through it quickly.
