Kay's POV:
I came outside and smiled. I was out, free, and confused. I looked back to where I had just came out and I dropped my jaw. The door had slammed shut and there stood a giant mountain. I looked quizzically at the mountain that I swore I just came out of.
I shrug and start walking. Have to get home I think as I saunter into the woods. The sun was already begin to descent to the horizon where the moon would fly up into the sky. I begin to look for a good spot to sleep when I came upon a thicket. I squeezed though and found that no one was home so I slept there for the night.
The cold wind snapped at me like hungry wolves, sending a chill up my spine. Even in the thicket, the Fall air still stuck hard into me like a dagger. I huddled up next to a think patch of grass in the thicket and try to fall asleep, pulling the hood over my head and pulling the hoodie over my huddled up legs.
I didn't dream much, I just tried to remember what happened today. I went to school. I...met someone. Something else happened. What was it? I talked to someone, someone important. I drifted to sleep with these thoughts inside my mind.
I woke up to a low growl, the ones you hear in your nightmare. I groggily looked over to see a pack of wolves. Panic over took me. The weren't that close so, I got up and bolted out of the thicket, getting my face torn up by briars. I ran as the wolves persuded me.
I try to remember where I came from but everything looked different in the dark. I struggled to keep in front of the vicious wolves who growled and snapped at me. I batted leaves and sticks out of the way as I ran. I got cut on the lip by a lose branch that I didn't see. I didn't have my glasses so my sight was horrible. I tripped once on a root by a tree and I tumbled to the ground. I get up and the pack gained on me. I glanced back and slammed into a tree. Dazed I kept running, however the world began to spin and dance before me. My legs became jelly but I kept pushing on. My lungs began to burn. Then I was startled by a large drop off and I tumbled down it. I tucked my head between my legs as I roll down the hill. I stop just a larger drop off appears. I glance down and see that if I were to jump, it would be instant death. I look back and see the wolves slowly coming toward me.
I take a deep breath and crawl over to the ledge. I see a sturdy branch that if I time it perfectly, I could land on it. With a growl from behind, faith in my head, and love in my heart, I sightly pray for life and jump to me death.
I open my eyes as I see I have landed on the branch. I look back to see the wolves howl then trot off. I hug the branch and tears softly fall from my eyes. I survived. I'm alive. I doze then I'm awaken by sunlight. I smile as a bird flies over head. It was a robin. It perches itself on a nearby tree. Robin. I thought Robin...Robbin. ROBBIN!! A lightbulb goes of but before I could put the idea together... Crack. I look back. Crack. My eyes widened. Snap! I let put a blood curdling scream as the branch brakes.
I dangle there as I cry for help. Tears streamed down my face. I start to pray when a deep voice comes in my mind. Let go of the branch. I looked around but no one was there. I look up at the sky and murmur:
"If I let go, please don't let me go to hell if I die...please" I look down, close my eyes, and let go.
My stomached dropped at I fell my then I hit something. I open my eyes to see a man with black hair, blue eyes and...and he's flying! I look at him, dressed in a blue suit with a red cape and and a red S in the middle of his chest.
"Your okay." He says "I've got you Kay." I look at him as we soared over the forest when we finally come to the big mountain. He lands but doesn't put me down.
He enters and an electronic voice says Recognized. Superman B023. My heart drops and I look at him then the voice says Unrecognized intruder. Alarm sounding now. Superman went over and turned off the alarm.
He walks through a series of rooms and he lookes in a room and yells "Hey! I found her." There was a lot of grunting and screaming coming from that room so I wasn't too excited when I heard those sounds. But after Superman yelled that he "found her" the noise stopped.
He carried me into a room that I remember too well, the infirmary. He sits me down when a bunch of teens come in. A shorter one comes over to me and hugs me gently. His soft black hair rubs agents my cheek and he hugged me.
"Where have you been?" He asks "I've been looking forever! I-we thought..." A red haired guy puts his arm on the boy's shoulder
"Rob," He says "She's been gone for a day. A day Rob! It's not that long" A blond haired girl flunks the red haired guy in the back of the head.
"Shut up Wally." She says "We've all been worried about her, even you. Give Robbin a break." The one called Wally rubs his head and sticks his tongue out at her then crosses his arms.
"Excuse me." I squeak "But where am I? How-How do I know you?" The boy who hugged me sits next to me on the bed.
"I'm Robbin, Boy Wonder! Dick Grayson! " he shouts. I stare at him.
"I'm Kid Flash, Fastest kid in the world. And probably the hottest guy in the universe! Or Wally West. What ever fries your potatoes. " I stare at him and knit my brows.
A sweet voice then calls "I'm Miss Martian or M'gann!" Then she gestures to a boy who looks like the man who saved me "This is Superboy, or Conner" Connor nods and still has that same rock solid look.
The blond girl steps forward and introduces herself as Artemis. Then a deep voice calls from the back.
"I'm Aqua Lad, or Kaldur'ahm." I looked at his face and that odd memory came back, where I was underwater. "Do you remember now?" Kaldur'ahm asks.
I look down and fix my eyes on my lap. "My name is Kay Kent. I have an older brother named Penn, and younger bother named Luke and a mom named Joyce. I attend Gotham Academy and I'm a Freshman. I..." I trail off "I was in a performance when I was younger. I wanted to meet him so bad. Then, he disappeared from my life. "
"What performance? Who did you want to see? " Robbin asks.
"I can't recall the performance. But the boy was so handsome. He flew like a bird and had the grace of a ballerina. He was amazing" I close my eyes and smile. Then the memory hits like a bullet. "I saw him at Harley's Circus! He was an acrobat and I wanted to meet him! I was at the last performance when...the trapeze cable snapped. " Robbin's face was dark and my body just....responded. I hugged him. "I'm sorry." I say "But for all its worth. Your really something to wonder about." I smile at him and say "You make me totally whelmed. "
