Delilah could hardly sleep last night thinking of her mischievous plans in the morning.
But she was somehow still full of energy the next morning as she waited outside the library for Ron.
She spotted him farther down the hall with Harry and Hermione and motioned for him to follow her into the library where their were less prying eyes. Hermione eyed her suspiciously and the older girl almost laughed at her obvious protectiveness over the smaller Weasley.
The deal went rather quick. Delilah handed Ron the baggy full of candy and he handed her the baggy with hair. "I got you a lock of both. Fred and George sleep like the dead. Good luck!"
Delilah laughed and thanked the boy profusely before they parted ways and she headed to Snape's classroom.By the time Riley and Taylor had made their way to the great hall for breakfast Delilah was already their with a book munching on a piece of toast.
"Oi what's got you up so early?"
Riley asked sitting next to her overly excited BFF. "Oh nothing major but while you two were sleeping I already got our timetables, found out we have potions with Gryffindor and set my next trap." Delilah stated not looking up from her book.
"I thought we were in this together?"
Taylor asked nibbling on a muffin.
"Hey if crazy pants wants to set up some of these hair brained schemes by herself I say let her." Riley said leaning over Delilah to reach the pumpkin juice.
"Just don't let it interfere with quidditch practice."The three ate their breakfast and walked, well Delilah skipped, all the way to the dungeons for potions with their least favorite teacher.
"Morning Professor." Delilah said taking a seat up front, but she was so excited about her latest prank she didn't care that Snape merely scowled in her direction. "Morning Professor!" Taylor beamed brightly. The ghost of a smile was present on Snape's face as he greeted the young blonde. Delilah glared at Taylor who merely stuck her tongue out at her.Every year it was a struggle to pick which two out of the three of them would be partners in potions class. Usually Taylor would be the one left out because she was friends with practically everyone. But this year it was Delilah because Riley had suggested a coin toss to be fair. Delilah made her way to the front of the room where a cute Hufflepuff boy already sat.
"Morning Cedric." She said taking a seat. "Good morning Delilah. Excited for practice later? Or I'm sorry I mean "tryouts"." He said using air quotes. It was obvious that Delilah and Cedric were going to make the team. "Freakin ecstatic! It's all I've been thinking about all morning! Are you excited to be captain this year?" Cedric smiled brightly. It was easy to see why girls from every house were in love with him. The boy was breathtaking. "Definitely. Now don't think just because we're friends that I'm going to go easy on you." He said pointing. Delilah chuckled. "Oh I wouldn't dream of it Diggory."The rest of the class filed in and Snape stood at the front of the room to get their attention. "This year we will be working on more advanced and dangerous potions. I trust that you will do so with caution and will not steal any of said potions which could result in serious harm or worse... detention. First we're going to be making Draught of peace." He walked to the cauldron cabinet and opened it.
Resulting in a large blast of confetti and silly string coating him from head to toe and knocking the Professor on his ass.
A few students snickered but quickly stifled their laughter as Professor Snape stood up and turned around with the coldest glare.
"Who did this?" He asked through gritted teeth.
Delilah's heart started beating faster and her palms began to sweat profusely. This was the first time she had ever pranked a Professor.
He examined the cabinet and to Delilah's relief the red hair she had placed in the bottom hadn't gotten lost in the blast.
Professor Snape picked up the strands of hair and held them up in front of the class.
"Mr. and Mr. Weasley, getting an early start I see. Well I hope you two didn't have any plans tonight or for the next week, because you will be spending them in detention! Cleaning cauldrons until your fingers bleed!" He spat staring at the two now terrified redheads.
