𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬

be my girl?

You run outside, down the hill, tears wavering in the corners of your eyes, until you a reach a perfect spot in the grass and lay down on your back. You were just in the gryffindor common room, talking with a couple of your friends, when your enemy (and life long bully) walked over to you and poured her bowl of chicken noodle soup all over your sweater, causing the whole room to erupt with laughter. Embarrassed, you ran out of there as quick as possible to get away from all the commotion, tears streaming down the side of your cheeks, that were flushed bright red.
You liked coming outside when you were upset and needed to calm down, especially at night when all the stars were out. So without hesitation, you knew exactly where you wanted to let your emotions out.
As you looked up at the stars, slowing starting to catch your breath and wipe the moist tears off your face, you heard footsteps approaching you and turned to see your best friend, George, walking towards where you were laying.
He laid down next to you, looking up at the stars with you in silence for a good few minutes, before saying,

"She's just a git ya know... you're ten times better of a person than she'll ever be".

"Thanks Georgie", you say looking over to him with sadness, tears still lingering in your jade green eyes.

"I love coming out here to watch the stars when I can't sleep. I swear every time I look up at the sky, a new star appears, it's like a never ending, completely different world up there", George says, looking up to the sky with admiration.

"I like watching the stars too, a bit of an escape isn't it?" You reply with a smile.

"Yeah...exactly", he says.

"Like look at that one right there, I swear it wasn't there before!" He adds after a brief pause of silence, pointing his finger up to the sky.

"Which one?" You ask, leaning in a little closer to him, "that one?" now pointing your finger.

"No, no, that one!" George laughs, grabbing your arm and directing it slightly to the left.

You both drop your arms and giggle, now so close you can feel his warm breath with every set of laughter. You realize how close you are and slightly inch away from him, looking back up to the sky.

"Hey George?" You ask with a slight waver in your voice, "can I tell you something?"

"Yeah of course, anything", he replies.

"I uh- I think I like you", you eventually stutter out.

"Well I sure hope you do", George says, lightly hitting your arm, not getting the memo.

"No I mean like, like like you", you stumble out with a laugh, "like you know... I think I have feelings for you".

"Really?" He asks, looking away from the night sky and over to you.

You look over to him too and quickly nod your head.

"Well", he says looking away, "I think I have feelings for you too".

You look away from him with a blushing smile, "good".

A couple minutes goes by of you both awkwardly looking up at the sky to avoid eye contact. And you feel your palms start to get slightly sweaty, hoping George will break the silence.

"Be my girl?" He finally speaks up from the long pause in conversation.

"Yep", you reply, still looking up at the sky, internally freaking out with excitement.

He reaches out his hand to the hand you have sitting on top of your stomach and interlaces his fingers with yours, stroking your skin with his thumb. You blush, and move back closer into him, leaning your head towards his cozily. He finally turns to look at you, after a while of looking up at the sky, and you notice and turn to look at him. His brown eyes are shining in the moonlight and you can just barely make out all the soft freckles on his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. After looking into his eyes for quite some time, he leans in to place a delicate kiss on your lips, moving his free hand to cup your cheek.
You pull back with a smile and look back up to the whimsical sky, nuzzling your head into his chest, listening to the patterns of his breathing as you two lay together watching the stars.
