11:00 PM.

It was exactly an hour before your shift started. You stared at the time on your phone, your anxiety building up by the minute.

'It said it'd answer my questions tonight... But what if it's lying and luring me back so it could kill me? But why would it kill me? What is its motive? Why... What if–'

You jumped as your phone went off. Your racing thoughts were abruptly stopped by a notification. You opened your phone and saw that it was just from an app that you don't even use. You scoffed and shut off your phone, tossing it onto your bed as you entered the restroom to prepare for work.

11:41 PM.

You looked at yourself in the mirror one last time and sauntered over to your bed, its sheets untidy and wrinkly. You shifted them aside to grab your phone, reading the time. You let out an anxious breath as you turned it off and tucked it into your pocket. You left your room right after you swiftly grabbed your coat and shut off the lights with a quick flick of the wrist.

11:59 PM.

You stepped out of your car and shut the door behind you, locking it soon after. You stuffed your keys into your pocket as your eyes gazed over the large entrance door of the haunting establishment. You could feel the beads of sweat forming on your forehead as you grew closer to the attraction with every step you took.

Your muscles seemed to become weaker and your feet grew heavier as you finally reached the door. Your heart raced as your breath quickened, and your palms sweat as you gripped at your own arms tightly. You were paralyzed with fear as all of your thoughts from before came rushing back: 'I can die if I step into this building. If I die now, what was the point of even coming here in the first place? I wouldn't be able to avenge their death. It'd be so stupid of me to go in, I know it's waiting to kill me in there right n–'

The man that had worked the dayshift beat you to opening the door. He shot a judgemental look at you as he noticed your reddened face. He slowly brushed past you without saying a word, his expression perplexed as he thought you were about to pass out.

You were finally snapped back into reality as you felt the man's shoulder bump into yours. You glanced back at him before he disappeared into his car and drove away.

As you turned your head to face the large glass double doors, you clenched your teeth and barged in with little confidence. You took a couple of steps forward and leaned over to peer down the dark corridor that led to the office, a luminous, bright light emitting from the room.

You took a deep breath as you picked up your feet and slowly made your way down the ominous hall. As you walked, you glanced at the musty walls covered in childrens' drawings and crafts. You never took the time to study the place the first time since you sped down the corridor like you were running in a marathon, but now you decided to get a closer look.

Your curious thoughts were drowned out by the knot building up in your stomach as you neared the office. You dreaded the thought of encountering the horrid rabbit-beast that lurked the establishment at the hour.

You shut your eyes, took a breath, and as you exhaled, your eyes locked on a pair of large, attentive silver ones. You jumped and let out a high-pitched scream, like a little girl's.
