WTSF 08 - Father's Order

Reese's POV

It's already been a week since we started with our classes.

That kupal aka. kapitbahay would always come and pester me to simply tie or braid his hair. Or di kaya makipag chika minute kay mama or sa mga kapatid ko.

Aaaaaaannnnndddd! HE'S BEING TOUCHY LATELY!

I don't like him 100 percent sure!
But it's too damn awkward if your family is watching you being bothered by the damn kupal.

Hindi na natutuwa sila mama at ate, kaya pinigilan na nila ang pagkantyaw sa akin.

But I guess he's been pretty much busy lately, with his work I may assume (thank goodness!) and that's a 99.9% probability why he hasn't bothered me yet.

"Oy Reese!"

Well, I dare not say that, it clearly was too early to say that he won't bother me!

And what's worse is kakauwi lang ni papa! Grrrrr!

I'm gonna strangle him to death if I got into trouble because of him!

"Asan sila Tiya Helena at Tiyo Rudolfo?"

Why is he looking for my parents? Tch.

"Hanapin mo lang sa loob, busy pa ako rito mag-igib."

Leche kang hayp ka. Pag ako nadagil, lintek nalang gud an wara higanti.

"Teka, anong pinagsasabi mo ha, Tyler?"

Anong meron? Bakit ang lakas ng boses ni papa? Gusto ko mang-usisa pero mamaya na.

Why? As I enter the house carrying the container filled with water, I saw my father. Angry and pretty much scary.

"Sir, I am still in love with your daughter. It has already been 8 years that I have waited for her. She's turning 18 next week. I wish to ask your blessings to let me court her. I wouldn't do this if I'm not serious. I wouldn't face you again, like what I did 8 years ago."

"Hijo, I have high hopes for my youngest and beloved daughter. I don't want her to have you. Pardon for the harsh words, but you're nothing but a playboy that only knows how to play with hearts."

"Sir you must be mistaken. I'm willing to do anything and everything for her po. Kahit paglaruan niya puso ko, ayos lang. I'm willing to stay for her, I'm ready to do everything for her. I'm also the declared heir of  the Bello Group of Companies. I can give her a promising future. I can even die for her. P-Please." His voice broke while saying all of these.

I dropped the container I was carrying. Even my jaw dropped from what I have seen and heard.

He was now kneeling down in front of my family.

"Go up to your room, Rhina. Let the grown ups handle everything here." Papa strictly instructed.

I immediately followed his words.

I felt bad for him, I can't even give back his supposedly "love" or probably "attraction" for me.

I just stared at the wall as I continue to deny things.

As I stare deeper, I heard a beeping sound from my phone.

It was a chat from Hechicera Muerte Valor, or also known as Venice. She's a co-wattpader and a co-VCA. She also loves writing one-shot stories and would post it sa Facebook.

Anyways, call me Venice instead of Hechicera.

Hechicera:
I know you like Rosh, and I like Zen. But girl wake up. I know who your dear kapitbahay is, I even got his name and information.

Hechicera:
With the daily stuff that you post about Haruka, let yourself reflect and admit you like him~
How did I know? I'm, after all, Hechicera of Valor.

I'm confused?

Hechicera:
Don't be confused. I was just kidding. I don't want to add magical stuff.

Hechicera:
It was because of the novel I wrote about you and him, that led me trolling you here sa messenger. I was so inspired to create a kabaliwan lol.

Reese:
Nako naman, Venice. Pinapakaba mo ako. Wrong timing ka.

Hechicera:
Hmmn why naman wrong timing?

Reese:

I was just seen zoned by Venice.

I didn't bother to wait for her reply, I just stared at the empty space in front of me.

I stayed like that for a couple of minutes that felt like forever.

Until I heard a knock on my door.

"Rhina? You must not go near Haruka. You heard me? Father's order."

It was my sister who delivered the message.

"Rhina, I know it's hard for you since he has been an annoying bug and you like him. He can still come here sa bahay. But.. You must not go near him. Understood?"

The part where it was declared that I must not go near him, felt like....

I don't know.

"R-Rhina? W-Why are you..."

My sister slowly came near me, cupped my face then hugged me tight.

I never knew why.. Until I touched my eyes.

I was damn betrayed by my eyes and tears.

"I'm sorry, bunso. That's the only way to keep the two of you together even though it feels like you're apart."

"I never liked him ate! But I don't know why.. It's as if my whole world stopped rotating for a moment just to embrace this unknown pain. I don't clearly understand!"

She gave me a small smile.

"You like him, Reese. There's no point of denying it or even stay and linger in the "in denial" stage."

She looked away.

"Anyways, Reese. He told me, he's going to school and eventually learn how to manage and run businesses and such. He also wanted you to listen to this.."

She handed her phone.

"He told me to relay this to you."

I played the song he covered and wondered why it sounded so familiar.

I looked for the title and lyrics, there I saw what he wants to say.

Empty Space... huh?

When he reached the part of the lyrics that say: How could I make you love me, there was one thing I'm quite sure of.

I got a teeny tiny crush on the playboy, and I am not denying it any longer.

But the next day, Fate was probably playing a great trick on me.
