WTSF 11 - Like Sakura Blossoms
Haruka's POV
I can't believe what I saw and heard yesterday.
She doesn't miss me?
Hah. Unbelievable.
I knew that she's lying. But she chose to be heartless, and a coward.
I can't even phantom or entertain the thought that I'm going crazy because of simply missing the Sakura Flower I have been delicately handling with extreme caution for about what? Nearly a decade?
"Ty? Stop it. Just stop pursuing her. You have been staring at her ever since she was 8."
My eyes widened when I saw the owner of the voice, standing right in front of me.
"Oh kuya, ikaw pala. I didn't know you'll be dropping by?"
My brother, technically half-brother, kuya Harrison.
He is with his wife, ate Carissea.
"Well, I heard what happened a month ago. And Papa informed me na uuwi ka ngayon. May pasalubong nga kaming dala para sa inyo."
Nilapag nila ang dala-dalang pasalubong sa mesa.
"Also, Tyler, sinama ko ate mo kasi gusto niya makilala si Nene Reese."
Ate Ari gently smiled at me.
"Eh, sino nagbabantay ngayon kay Jewel at kay Gem?" tanong ko, why would they go out without the two babies?
Unfair.
"Si mama ang nagbantay sa kanila, don't worry. They're safe." Ate Ari said.
With a sigh of relief, I turned to my brother.
"Are you afraid kuya? I promise I won't break her heart. I'll let her break mine if ever. She's the only person I'm afraid to handle because she's fragile. And I'm a jerk." I quipped.
"Well, we have to be cautious of dealing with hearts. So yeah. Why shouldn't I be afraid? You've been juggling hearts here and there." his voice is so calm but I can sense a brewing sarcasm about to boil.
"Chill. She's all that I see and she's all that I need." I responded softly.
"Pfft. Yeah. And pigs fly." my brother snorted.
"What? I'll prove it to you. Mark my words." I told him.
—
But throughout the years that quickly passed by, I've been trying to deem myself worthy.
And as I slowly build myself up, for her, for everything, I watched her grow and fall.
Like those of Sakura Blossoms. Yeah, just like sakura blossoms.
I hope I'm not too late.
—
-3 years later-
I parked my car in the garage of this huge house. Well probably mansion.
I quickly made way and entered my father's office in his house.
"Father, you called for me?" I formally and immediately asked as I entered his office.
Did I fucked up?
"Mi unico hijo, como esta?" he looked at me dead in the eyes.
I gulped.
