9. A Friend or Foe?

"Atsumu!"

Another player passed the ball to Atsumu.

"Thanks!" He took a risky shot and boot kicked the ball pass the defenders. He soon went dashing towards it and finally kicking the ball towards the net

But, Kowa had other plans

"Hey!" He yelled in frustration. She cackled and stuck her tongue out

"Sucks to be you, Atsumu"
"YOU'RE PISSING ME OFF!"
"Thanks for the cover Kowa!" One of the the defenders yelled

"No problem! Get back to your side Atsumu"
"Fine." He grumbled
"Atsumu you're switching with Nagisa. Remember?"
"Dammit.. alright."

"He sure seems happy" Osamu said sarcastically.

"That Kowa girl seems to be getting on his nerves." Ginjima remarks.

"Just like Osamu does." Suna adds on.

"I'm right here you know?"

"HA!" Kowa laughed from the bleachers.

"Why is she here!?" Atsumu asks Osamu

"How should I know. But she's probably here to make fun of you." He says nonchalantly.
"Well she's annoying!"
"As if those fangirls aren't. You can handle another distraction."
"Hey, get back to practice before the coach punishes you"

"Alright."

"Fine.."

Kowa laughed as she saw Atsumu mess up on his server every single time just because of her presence "She's like a whole different person...! in front of F/N she was quiet!" Atsumu yelled angrily.

He took a sip of his water:

"F/N? That girl at the store?" Aran asks

"Yeah what about her?"

"Oh nothing it's just that it's a little weird that you, Osamu, Akagi, and Suna go there after every practice."

"Uh yeah. We visit her everyday."

"Why?"

"Because- wait why do I?"

"You don't even know?!"

"Not really but I guess you could say she's interesting."

"Interesting..."

'Interesting is a word I've never heard Atsumu describe someone before.' Aran thought in surprise.

"Do you guys mind if I tag along?"

"Oh great another person. No-!"

"Atsumu respect your elders, sure you can come along, Ojiro!" Akagi said cutting off Atsumu.

"Thank you."

He went back to practicing and Akagi turned to Atsumu. "Ow!" Akagi punches him in the head. "Jeez show some respect for one of the top winged spikers in the nation dude."

"Barely. He's right unde- OW!"

"What did I just say?!"

"Ha! Ha! You messed up a lot you know?" Kowa said running up to the group of boys

"Ew go away." Atsumu scoffed

"Alright, I'm going to see F/N first!" She dashed past them almost knocking over Ginjima.

"Since when is she so competitive?" Osamu asked "She really did do a whole personality change."

"My GOD! Kona! Get back here!" Atsumu yelled running past the rest of the boys

"Kona? Isn't her name Kowa or something?" Ojiro asked

"Wait her name is Kowa? I thought it was Kana?" Akagi said with an awkward smile.

F/N sat down with a huff and checked the time on her phone. 'They're late. I wonder if they forgot?' She thought with disappointment. Just as F/N put her head down, Kowa came bursting in laughing. F/N's eyes lit up seeing her. Atsumu came running in shortly after her.

"Seriously?!"

"You actually chased me? You didn't have to." Kowa said with venom.

"You damn snake.."

"Hey Ojiro, you're going with them?" Omimi asked the ace

"Oh yeah. Isn't it kinda weird that they're going there everyday for no reason? Plus I need rice wine."

"I actually never noticed that." Ginjima says turning to Ojiro.
"Honestly I don't care as long as they're taking care of themselves." Kita shrugs.,Ojiro crossed the street while waving goodbye to the 3.

"Bye, see you guys tomorrow."

"Yeah bye." Ginjima yawned

Ojiro sighed as he continued the cross the street. Suna, the twins, Akagi, and Kowa were already inside the store doing who knows what? He remembered how chaotic they can be and swallowed.

He hesitantly opened the door bracing for chaos, and chaos is what he got alright.

Akagi was taking everything, Osamu was trying to stop him, Atsumu was laughing his ass off, Suna was looking at the 3 with disappointment, and Kowa was leaning against the counter, and the poor deaf girl was left confused but tried to go along with it.

"Oh Ojiro..? Right?" Kowa questioned

"Oh uh yeah.. these guys are really loud.." He grumbled, clearly annoyed.
"Yeah but she can't hear a thing." Kowa laughed a bit.

He opened his mouth to say something but was soon interrupted by a certain fake blond.

"Oh my g- WHY CAN'T YOU ALL JUST SHUSH!" He yelled at them all, even the ones that didn't do anything. "This a store for lords sake?! Why are you even yelling?!"

Suna covered his mouth and laughed while they just stared. Akagi guiltily put the stuff he grabbed while the twins just backed away from him

Suna looked at Kowa and gained his composure again

"He just does that when he's angry sometimes."

"The whole volleyball club is a stupid bunch more that I look at you all" Kowa laughed

F/N stared in amazement

'One of the best aces in Japan is on the same room as me!' She though enthusiastically

She quickly wrote down her number and stood up

Just as she was about to walk up to him, someone wacked her in the head

"Stop giving out your number. That's just- I forgot.." Suna muttered. Suna looked at Aran and shrugged "She's gonna give you her number by the way. She's been doing that."

She touched her head and walked up to Aran (successfully)

"Oh? Um." He stared down at her.
"She's always been doing that?" Kowa asked Suna while looking at them

"I don't know, probably. She did that with Atsumu, Osamu, Akagi, and me so yeah."

"Quite stupid."

"That's harsh but true."
