It was a normal morning , he did his exercise and talked to a colombian girl about the classes and normal stuff , he likes making friends around the world but he feels nothing like he did with Melissa.
He is about to eat his breakfast , he made no plans for talking today with Melissa but he miss her and it makes him uneasy , what the fuck is this all about he thinks. Oh it's nothing but still in his heart he is waiting for her message . He texted her yesterday and he don't wanna seems desperate but deep in his heart he wish that she calls him.
It's way past the time they talked yesterday and he given up on her calling him Hmmmm maybe this is it for us , well she was really nice
The phone suddenly rings , it's in the different room on charging . He ran towards the room and receive the call without even looking at his phone and seeing who is calling
Prashant - Hola ( Hello)
Sahil - Whaaaat ? why are you speaking Spanish bro ? ( Sahil is one of his best friend , fuck best friend he is like his own brother )
Prashant - WTF , It's you ,why the hell u calling me ?
Sahil - Bro what happened ? he ask very confused
Prashant - I'll talk to u later
and Prashant end the call abruptly but he notice one thing . There is a miss call from Melissa , she must have called when he was on call with Sahil , he have the biggest smile on his face
he calls her
Melissa - Hola como estas ( Hi , how are you )?
oh here is that beautiful voice , it have a same affect as smoking a cigarette after a long hard day , that first drag that touch your soul , it feels the same when he hear her voice and all muscles and veins of his body just relax
Prashant - oh , hola Melissa i am good como estas ?
Melissa - i am okay , i see u did not pause this time
Prashant - Hahaha so u noticed ?
Melissa - women notice everything my love
that my love was said in very different context but it gave him the ultimate pleasure
hmmm i see said Prashant
Melissa - Si si ( yes yes )
and they start their " practice" of English and Spanish
Melissa - so i see you know a little bit of spanish
Prashant - well yeah my buddy duolingo teaches me but i realized something that yes i learned but only things i learned was how to buy a ticket for Barcelona , how to ask for table for three and sandwiches , how to tell someone i am in super market and how to tell a police officer that i have passport but it's in my hotel
Melissa - Jajajaja u are learning " tourist" spanish , still tell me how will u tell police officer that u have a passport but it's in the hotel
Prashant - Senor ,yo tengo pasaporte pero mi pasaporte esta en el hotel
Melissa - JAJAJAJAJA why are you talking like u are illegal in the country and u are making excuse for passport to a police officer
Prashant - Hahaha , really ?
Melissa - yeah
Melissa sigh
Melissa - oh i love talking to u , after a long hard day when i talk to u i feel good , u make me laugh , although we just started talking it feels like we know each other from decades
Prashant - Oh me too baby he says that with the most honesty
Prashant - Oh i am sorry i didn't mean to call you baby
Melissa - oh don't worry " Baby "
hahaha they both laugh , for Melissa it was just a cute little honest mistake for Prashant it was well thought strategy , he just wanted to know how she will react to him calling her baby
they talk on call for some more time and then end the call
after sometime a message pops up on Prashant's phone
Hey u don't have to be sorry for calling me baby , i kinda liked it Melissa said
well his strategy worked , now she is his baby ; well atleast that's what he will call her "jokingly" and it's just a matter of time when i'll win her over
they say their final goodbyes for the day as Melissa is going to sleep . He looks at the call log and in utter shock he see that he talked to her on call for more than 1 hour , that's more than total amount of time he spent on talking on call through out the year because he might be people's person but one thin he hates as much as Brussel sprouts is talking on call and that makes him realize that this woman is something special and he will be connected to her for long
A beautiful realization indeed .
