W...where am I? How did I get here? It all feels so strange right now. Its like...my body is sinking. I can breath, but I can't see. Wait I...see a light. It feels nice and warm. I wanna grab it and never let go.
And then, his eyes open. Calmly and without panicking; he looks to his surroundings as he lays in bed. To his left is a desk with some medical supplies a book an empty bowl and an open window where he hears what sounds like other people talking, and possibly working. To his right is a bookshelf that sits to the left side of wooden door. He then says to himself, "I owe whoever took care of me big time. I shouldn't have caused so much trouble. But if I really was hurt...why didn't they take me to a hospital instead? Would've saved them the trouble" Then he hears footsteps, and as they get closer to the door, the young man thought to himself, Why go through all this trouble? Perhaps they want compensation? Guess I'll have to oblige to their greed then. Finally, the door opens, and in front of the young man was a woman. Or in this case, an anthropomorphic dragoness. She had long white hair tied behind her head, she wore a single gold earring on her left ear, and even had on a white and red choker. She carried with her, a silver pocket watch with a dragon design, and her eyes were both red with the sclera being completely black. Her exposed black and aquamarine colored scales revealed that she has all sorts of tattoos and markings all over her arms and legs. There was even a tattoo on her chest area, but her dress blocked out most of it. "You're finally awake! That's good. You were in pretty bad shaped when the patrol team found you. All bloody and bruised up like you were in a battle for your life. I'm so glad that you've recovered, or at least are doing better than before" the young man was puzzled. Unafraid, calm, but all the more puzzled at the site he was present for. A female anthropomorphic dragon was standing in front of him. Smiling with glee, wagging her tail and holding a bowl of warm beef stew. She then walked over to the desk and placed the bowl there. Next, she would sit on the right side of the bed and continue to stare at the young man. Smiling, and then, she would speak again "I can't say we don't come across strange people out here in these parts. You find all kinds of people hear. Humans, wyvernians, monster anthro monster folk like myself but I gotta say cutie...its been years since anyone has ever seen a red dragon" "Red Dragon?" said the of young man. The dragoness then opened a drawer from the desk and pulled out a hand held mirror. She then handed it to the young man, who at first, was quite hesitant. In his mind, he believed her response to be a joke, but he then held the mirror to his face; only to be greeted with his new appearance. His eyes widened, but he didn't let out a single gasp. His heart pounded, but he remained as motionless as a statue, all while taking in the image that he was no longer who he was before. Now, he was a red dragon with emerald green eyes. What happened to me? The young man thought to himself. Last thing I remember, I was driving home fron the workshop and then everything just went black. And then, it hit him. "Hey lady!" He said. The female dragon responded, "Uh yeah? What's wrong?" "Did you find any items on me? Like any keys, a wallet; anything to help identify me?"
The dragoness replied, "Most of the stuff you had burned with your truck. The old man did find a wallet though but he still has it. Your name's Maxwell right?" "Yeah" said Maxwell. He then looked out the window and said, "Maxwell T. Schrade is my name. What about you? I can't keep calling you lady can I?" The dragoness cracked a smile and proceeded to lean in closer to Maxwells face. He attempted to back up, but was unable to since he could only back off so much. She got closer and closer to his face until she finally introduced herself. "People call me by different names. But my real name Maridia Lost. I know it's probably not the best way to welcome you but...welcome to the Galalaya Maxwell"
She continued to smile while Maxwell found himself thinking. He may be in for something he does not yet understand. But aside from his physical changes, Maxwell's presences has caused quite a disturbance. Which he would soon find out.So that's the end of this first chapter. I know it was short and there are probably a lot of grammatical errors that need to be fixed, but since I don't have a laptop...that'll have to wait a while 😅😅😅 (my bad). But chapter 2 be out sometime later this week or early next, it will also be longer and hopefully better written than this chapter. I hope however reads this enjoyed themselves, please don't hesitate to send me feedback; even if you want to pm me. I'm kinda a sucker for feedback. Anyways, I hope everyone is staying safe and please have a great rest of your day.
