BRENDON'S POV
After finishing the cookies and milk, I ask Ryan to let me look at his songbook again.
"I guess so, Brendon."
He sighs and hands it to me. I awkwardly hold it.
"Oh...uh. I mean it, you really don't have to let me see it! If you don't want me looking at it, it's completely fine!"
"No no no no, it's fine. I'm just new to this whole sharing thing! I've Never really had friends. People tend not to like me...."
He runs a hand through his hair and shrugs. I smile.
"What's not to like?"
"Everything."
He rubs his arm and looks at the ground. Awh, he's insecure. I mean, I can't imagine why. He's so....perfect.
"Brendon?"
I shake my head and snap back into focus. He's blushing. What happened?
"What?"
"Well you just mumbled -He's so perfect- out of nowhere."
"Ohmygod. I'm...sorry. Sometimes I speak while I'm thinking."
"Awh it's fine, Brenny, but I'm not perfect."
I smile.
"Don't call me Brenny."
"Is Brenny Bear better than Brenny?"
"Well I'd rather you not call me either."
"I'd rather you not call me Ryro."
"Well, too bad cuz I'm doing it anyways."
"Ditto to that."
We both laugh and I look at the songbook. There's a lot of good songs here. It's a shame no one will get to hear them....
I sit up abruptly.
"Ryan?"
He jumps a little at the suddenness of my speaking.
"Jesus! What, Bren?"
"Have you ever thought of performing these songs?"
"Well, no...uhh..not really. I'm not a really great singer..."
"Shut up. You are an amazing singer."
"You're better."
"Dude. Stop."
"Stop what?"
"Putting yourself down like that! You're amazing!"
"You've known me one day. I suck. At pretty much everything."
I sigh.
"Ryro, no. You're great. I really like you. Not like a friend but I really like you. You're perfect."
"Brendon! I'm not. I'm weird, annoying, stupid, ugly, untalented, bad at talking to people, never have friends, way too skinny, I a-"
As he lists the reasons why he thinks he's horrible, I cut him off by kissing him. I smash my lips against his and he seems taken aback for a second before he gives in, too. I wrap my arms around his neck, and sit in his lap. He puts his arms around my waist. Our lips move together in unison with a rhythmic pattern, and we continue until we're out of breath. We pull apart, but keep our foreheads together. Ryan speaks, out of breath.
"What...was that for?"
I smirk and look into his eyes.
"How else was I gonna get you to shut up?"
"You could've said please."
"Would that have worked?"
He shakes his head.
"That's what I thought, Ross."
"You sure are a keeper, Urie."
I laugh and realize I'm sweating. I push my sweat-slicked hair off my forehead. The fact that I just made out with Ryan, and that my mom blasts the heat made being in this house feel like a fever you can't sweat out.
RYRO'S POV
Brendon pushes his hair off his forehead. We're both sweating, and it's really hot in here. I guess Brendon notices because he pulls off his sweatshirt. Underneath, he's only wearing a tight, white, muscle tee. He looks really hot, to be honest.
"You look really hot like that."
He laughs.
"What? Sweaty, puffy-lipped, and in an undershirt?"
"Exactly."
He smiles and I hug him.
"Whatcha hugging me for, Ry?"
"For shutting me up."
We both laugh, and Brendon whispers in my ear.
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
I smile and think for a minute. We've only known each other a day. But I mean isn't that the point of dating someone? To get to know them? I nod.
"Yes."
We pull away from the hug and Brendon runs his hand through my hair.
"Wanna stay over tonight?"
"Love to."
He smiles excitedly and fakes a teenage girl squeal.
"SLEEPOVER!!!"
